- • This Professional Learning Specialist role at Curriculum Associates is pivotal in advancing equitable education by supporting K–8 educators in implementing high-impact learning programs like i-Ready and Ready, directly influencing classroom instruction and student outcomes across West Virginia school districts.
- • The role bridges curriculum expertise with real-world classroom application, ensuring educators receive tailored, data-informed support to effectively use evidence-based instructional tools that serve a third of the nation’s K–8 students.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering targeted professional development sessions to teachers, coaches, and district leaders on the effective implementation of i-Ready and Ready programs, both in-person and virtually.
- • Provide ongoing, job-embedded coaching in classrooms, including lesson planning support, pacing guidance, and modeling instructional strategies to strengthen teacher practice and student engagement.
- • Analyze student and program data from i-Ready Diagnostic and Instruction reports to help educators interpret results, identify learning gaps, and adjust instruction accordingly.
- • Collaborate with school and district leadership to design, refine, and execute annual professional development plans aligned with district goals and implementation timelines.
- • Serve as a trusted thought partner to educators, offering differentiated support based on individual teacher needs, experience levels, and classroom contexts.
- • Maintain consistent communication with district stakeholders, including scheduling site visits, preparing reports, and sharing best practices for sustainable program adoption.
- • Participate in internal training and company-hosted educational conferences to stay current on product updates, pedagogical research, and adult learning principles.
- • Travel up to 80% within the designated West Virginia territory (primarily Randolph, Upshur, and Barbour Counties, with consideration for all WV locations) to deliver on-site support and attend meetings.
- • The role is based in Southern West Virginia and requires a valid driver’s license due to extensive travel requirements; relocation assistance is available for out-of-state candidates willing to move to the region.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in teaching, coaching teachers, or providing professional development, preferably in Mathematics or ELA for grades K–8.
- • Fluency with digital tools, especially online assessment platforms, and comfort discussing and applying data with educators and leaders to inform instructional decisions.
- • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and proven ability to design and deliver engaging, effective professional development sessions for educators.
- • Willingness to travel up to 80% within the assigned territory, including overnight stays, and possession of a valid driver’s license.
- • Familiarity with Common Core State Standards for Mathematics and/or ELA, Grades K–8 (or comparable state standards), including both content and practice standards.
