đź“‹ Description
- • As a Program Manager (Engineering to Production) at Cubic Corporation, you will play a critical role in bridging engineering innovation with real-world production, ensuring that complex transportation technology solutions—such as the FEnX fare gate—move efficiently from design through low-volume manufacturing and customer deployment. Your work directly supports Cubic’s mission to simplify daily journeys and enhance mission success for defense and transportation customers worldwide.
- • You will manage multiple device product programs and workstreams from engineering through production, serving as a key liaison between engineering teams, Integrated Supply Chain (ISC), suppliers, and customers. This includes overseeing design, test, build, procurement, installation, and delivery efforts while ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and technical requirements.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing supplier relationships through purchase order issuance and adjustments, coordinating with program finance, and ensuring design and development work stays on schedule. You will lead the end-to-end execution of device subsystems, including demand generation, purchase requisitions, and on-time delivery of test and production components.
- • You will manage station-specific installation requirements, including emergency open systems, networking, and power infrastructure, by driving procurement efforts, developing installation schedules, and ensuring timely design, test, and delivery of installation components.
- • Serving as the primary on-site point of contact in Tullahoma, you will represent the program director during near-term production, manufacturing, customer pilots, and other time-sensitive deliveries, ensuring smooth execution and rapid issue resolution.
- • You will proactively identify and resolve obstacles through prototype manufacturing and low-rate production, including managing change orders, supply chain disruptions, and purchasing issues with sufficient lead time to prevent delays.
- • You will ensure all program activities comply with Cubic Corporation and Cubic Transportation Systems policies, procedures, and department instructions, driving efficiency and cost sensitivity across engineering-to-production workflows.
- • You will lead workstream execution to meet technical performance targets within cost and schedule constraints, establishing milestones and monitoring adherence to program master plans using earned value management and financial tracking tools.
- • You will manage and coordinate procurement, manufacturing, and shipment of device deliverables, leveraging hands-on SAP knowledge to track material demand and serve as the primary program liaison with ISC for material status updates.
- • You will actively pursue risk reduction by identifying program issues early, facilitating timely resolution, and maintaining clear communication with senior executives, government agencies, subcontractors, and suppliers through effective presentations and negotiations.
- • Cubic Transportation Systems (CTS) is a global leader in intelligent transportation solutions, delivering fare collection, transit management, and passenger information systems that enable seamless urban mobility. Joining CTS means contributing to projects that move millions of people daily while working alongside diverse, expert teams committed to innovation, safety, and service excellence.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in cross-functional program leadership, government contracting, supply chain integration, and advanced manufacturing processes—positioning you for advancement into senior program management, engineering leadership, or operations director roles within Cubic’s defense and transportation portfolios.
🎯 Requirements
- • Four-year college degree in engineering, business, or equivalent field
- • Minimum of six years of professional experience, including at least four years in project engineering, program management, or supervisory roles
- • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex technical programs from engineering through production
- • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior executives, government agencies, and external partners
- • Working knowledge of government procurement, contracting, standards, and specifications
- • Familiarity with financial management tools, earned value measurement (EVM), and budget tracking for program execution
- • Hands-on experience with SAP systems for material demand management and supply chain coordination
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary range of $96,400.00 to $179,000.00, reflective of experience and responsibilities
- • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance
