• • Capita is seeking a technically proficient and delivery-focused Project Lead to join their Business Intelligence, Performance, and Analytics (BIPA) team, specifically supporting the reporting and analytics functions for Central London Community Hospitals.
• • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in bringing structure, clarity, and comprehensive oversight to a diverse range of data warehousing and reporting projects. Your primary objective will be to ensure that all project outputs are not only accurate and consistent but also precisely aligned with the specific needs and strategic goals of the hospital trust.

• • You will be responsible for leading and successfully delivering complex data warehousing and reporting initiatives. This includes managing projects involving SQL-based pipelines, intricate data transformations, and the development of insightful Power BI dashboards.
• • A key responsibility will be the production of clear, concise, and formally signed-off requirements and specification documents for all agreed-upon project outputs, ensuring a solid foundation for development.
• • You will establish and rigorously maintain Power BI development standards, thereby ensuring a high level of consistency, quality, and best practice across all created dashboards and reporting assets.
• • The role involves providing senior technical oversight for critical CSDS (Community Services Data Set) returns, with a focus on automating processes and systematically improving overall data quality.
• • A significant part of your work will involve meticulous testing and validation of reporting outputs. This ensures the accuracy, robustness, and strict adherence to all relevant NHS requirements and standards.
• • You will actively support the trust’s broader Business Intelligence strategy by championing and driving the adoption of a single source of truth across all reporting systems, enhancing data integrity and reliability.
• • Collaboration will be a cornerstone of this role. You will work closely with the BIPA leadership team, internal report users, the clinical applications team, finance partners, and national NHS information bodies to ensure seamless project execution and alignment.
• • Essential to your success will be a strong foundation in NHS environments, ideally with direct experience in community health datasets or related settings.
• • You must possess solid technical capabilities in T-SQL, SSIS, or comparable ETL tools, coupled with practical experience working with SQL Server and understanding data warehouse structures, including fact and dimension models.
• • Proven experience in building, managing, and overseeing Power BI dashboards is crucial, alongside a strong grasp of development standards, data modelling principles, and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
• • Demonstrable experience in successfully delivering data warehousing, reporting, or analytics projects from their initial inception through to final deployment is required.
• • A high level of attention to detail, a commitment to data quality, and a thorough approach to testing are paramount for this position.
• • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, enabling you to effectively translate complex business needs into precise technical requirements and communicate project status clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• • Desirable skills include knowledge of NHS mandatory reporting requirements such as CSDS, RTT (Referral to Treatment), or GUMCAD, as well as familiarity with national datasets.
• • Experience with healthcare reporting tools or NHS operational systems like SystmOne, EMIS, Allocate HealthRoster, Datix, or similar platforms would be advantageous.
• • An understanding of automation tooling, such as Microsoft Data Factory or equivalent platforms, would also be beneficial.
