Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • Are you the calm in the storm, the steady hand that brings order to chaos? MOXFIVE is seeking a highly organized and resilient Project Manager to join our elite Incident Response practice. In this critical role, you will be the operational linchpin, ensuring that complex cyber incident response engagements are executed with precision, efficiency, and unwavering client confidence. When organizations face their darkest digital hours, you are the one who orchestrates the recovery, making sure every critical task is managed, every stakeholder is informed, and every detail is accounted for.
  • As a Project Manager within our Incident Response team, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of information and tasks across multiple, concurrent engagements. You won't necessarily be diving deep into the technical forensics or the intricate details of malware analysis, but you will possess a keen understanding of the incident response lifecycle and the critical dependencies between various workstreams. Your primary focus will be on the overarching project management, ensuring that the technical teams can perform their vital work without distraction, while clients receive clear, consistent, and reassuring updates.
  • Your responsibilities will span the entire project lifecycle, from initial engagement kickoff to final deliverable completion. This includes meticulously owning and maintaining all project documentation. You will be the architect of project trackers, status reports, milestone logs, and deliverable schedules, ensuring they are not only accurate and complete but also perpetually up-to-date. This level of detail is paramount in high-stakes situations where clarity and accountability are non-negotiable.
  • A significant part of your role will involve serving as the primary liaison between our highly skilled technical incident response teams, our valued clients, external legal counsel, insurance providers, and internal MOXFIVE stakeholders. You will translate technical progress into understandable updates for non-technical audiences and ensure that client needs and concerns are effectively communicated back to the response team. Your ability to bridge communication gaps and manage expectations across diverse groups will be a key determinant of engagement success.
  • You will also be responsible for the financial and administrative aspects of our engagements. This includes generating Statements of Work (SOWs), change orders, and Level of Effort (LOE) estimates, ensuring clear scope definition and accurate pricing. Furthermore, you will diligently monitor project budgets, track time and expenses, and proactively identify potential scope creep, flagging these issues early to prevent budget overruns and maintain project integrity.
  • Coordinating the complex scheduling demands of incident response is another core function. You will manage the calendars for client meetings, technical activities, stakeholder briefings, and internal reviews across a portfolio of active engagements. This requires exceptional foresight and the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances, which are common in incident response scenarios.
  • Identifying and proactively surfacing project risks is crucial. You will work collaboratively with all stakeholders to anticipate potential roadblocks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure that engagements remain on track and within scope. Your ability to foresee challenges and implement solutions before they escalate will be highly valued.
  • This role requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule, typically once every six weeks, to provide critical project management support for active incident response operations outside of standard business hours. This ensures continuous support for our clients during their most critical times.
  • Beyond managing individual projects, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of MOXFIVE's project management methodologies, tools, and processes. Your insights and experience will help shape how we deliver exceptional service and maintain our reputation for excellence in the incident response field.
  • Ultimately, your work directly impacts how organizations navigate and recover from some of the most stressful and damaging events they will ever experience. You are not just managing a project; you are helping to restore stability and trust during a crisis. Your dedication to detail, clear communication, and proactive management ensures that MOXFIVE delivers on its promise of expert, efficient, and empathetic incident response.

  • Proficiency with project management platforms and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Comfort interfacing with clients, partners, and senior stakeholders in fast-moving, high-pressure situations, demonstrating composure and professionalism.
  • Financial tracking experience, including budget monitoring, time tracking, and basic project accounting.
  • A process-oriented mindset with a keen eye for identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

🏖️ Benefits

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and company holidays.
  • Remote work flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere.
  • Opportunities for professional development and certifications (e.g., PMP, CAPM).
