📋 Description
- • Design and deliver culturally appropriate capacity-building training and customized assistance to American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities in the Lower 48 and Alaska to expand, develop, and implement crime victim service programs.
- • Evaluate individual grantee needs and partner with grantees to develop tailored assistance plans, track progress, and ensure successful implementation of victim service initiatives.
- • Support grantees in strengthening their crime victim services through subject matter expertise, strategic guidance, and resource development.
- • Develop and adapt training curricula, toolkits, and educational resources specifically for AI/AN audiences, incorporating culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices.
- • Plan and execute assistance activities including virtual and in-person trainings, webinars, peer learning exchanges, and communities of practice.
- • Facilitate collaborative engagement with tribal communities, assistance providers, government clients, subject matter experts, and project partners to align program goals and outcomes.
- • Conduct assessments of tribal community infrastructure, resources, and capacity to identify gaps and recommend targeted interventions.
- • Assist with strategic planning efforts to enhance the long-term sustainability and effectiveness of AI/AN victim service programs.
- • Identify, document, and share best practices, culturally relevant resources, and innovative approaches that address the unique challenges faced by tribal communities.
- • Ensure compliance with federal grant management requirements, including adherence to award conditions, client confidentiality policies, program narratives, time-task plans, and reporting standards.
- • Utilize MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams) and digital platforms for training delivery, reporting, and collaboration.
- • Communicate effectively in virtual environments with diverse audiences, adapting messaging to varying levels of learner experience and technical access.
- • Maintain professionalism, diplomacy, and sound judgment when navigating complex tribal sovereignty issues and sensitive victim service contexts.
- • Travel as required to support on-site assistance activities with tribal communities across the Midwest, Pacific Northwest, and Southwest regions.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree
- • 2+ years’ experience working with American Indian and Alaska Native communities
- • 5+ years’ experience in victim services
- • U.S. citizenship
- • Willingness to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
- • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams)
