• • The Proposal Manager role at OpenAI for Government is critical to advancing the mission of deploying frontier AI responsibly within public sector institutions by crafting persuasive, compliant proposals that win government contracts and accelerate AI adoption.
• • Day to day, the role involves driving capture and proposal strategy, writing and editing technical proposal content, developing pricing strategies, creating AI-assisted documentation tools, coordinating across product, engineering, legal, and sales teams, ensuring compliance with government acquisition regulations, maintaining a knowledge base of templates and best practices, and contributing to strategic messaging and win themes.
• • The OpenAI for Government team is a mission-driven unit focused on empowering federal, state, and local governments with secure, compliant AI tools like ChatGPT Enterprise and ChatGov, enabling civil servants to reduce administrative burden and focus on high-impact work through responsible AI deployment.
• • In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in government procurement, AI policy, and technical storytelling, gain ownership of proposal strategy and messaging, work directly with frontier AI tools, and grow at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and public sector impact.
