- • The Provider Contracting Professional 2 initiates, negotiates, and executes physician, hospital, and other provider contracts to support Humana’s network strategy and ensure access to quality care.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include communicating contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates to providers; analyzing financial impacts of contracts; maintaining contract documentation in tracking systems; and assisting with provider recruitment based on network needs.
- • The role operates within Humana’s healthcare organization, contributing to departmental and organizational strategy by interpreting complex contract requirements and making independent decisions in ambiguous situations with minimal supervision.
- • This position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in managed care contracting, financial analysis of healthcare agreements, and value-based care models while supporting Humana’s mission to improve health outcomes for millions of members.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience in negotiating or servicing managed care contracts
- • Understanding of contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- • Proficiency in MS Office applications
- • Must reside in the State of Florida with willingness to travel occasionally
