- • The Public Relations Strategist will support global PR efforts for PlayStation’s exclusive games, helping to execute product launches and events while contributing to the department’s daily activities as a key member of the software publicity team.
- • Day to day, the role involves managing media outreach, developing messaging, coordinating events, securing speaking opportunities, reporting on coverage, distributing assets, and creating written materials such as press releases, fact sheets, and briefing documents for game launches.
- • The role sits within Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Communications team in San Mateo, collaborating with PlayStation Studios, development partners, platforms, services, corporate, and social media teams to shape brand narratives for external and internal audiences.
- • The person in this role will gain hands-on experience in high-impact gaming PR, refine media relations and storytelling skills, and contribute to measurable media ROI for one of the world’s leading entertainment brands.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of public relations experience, ideally with consumer-facing brands or products
- • Strong media relations experience across consumer, technology, and business press outlets
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, Slack, and AI tools like ChatGPT and Copilot
- • Experience managing projects and collaborating effectively across large, distributed, global teams
