- • The PubSec Cloud Solutions Executive is a senior sales role focused on driving revenue and profit growth by mastering SHI’s value proposition and developing strategic sales approaches for Google Cloud solutions in the public sector. This position is critical to expanding SHI’s footprint in education, government, and municipal markets by aligning cloud offerings with customer objectives and building long-term, trusted relationships.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include owning and achieving cloud solutions quota within an assigned territory, with specific targets for Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Chrome, Gemini, Google Security, and Workspace offerings; developing a rich pipeline of opportunities by collaborating with Public Sector Account Executives, Google account teams, and internal stakeholders; mastering SHI’s value proposition to exceed revenue and profit goals through penetrating sales strategies and customized pricing proposals; identifying and creating sales pipeline opportunities to grow business with existing customers and acquire new ones using targeted sales techniques; collaborating with sales management to identify, track, and manage opportunities to meet or exceed quarterly and annual targets; understanding and aligning with customer business objectives, IT priorities, and initiatives to deliver tailored cloud solutions; creating a territory account plan that includes expansion within current accounts and new pursuits in top and mid-tier markets, focusing on R1/R2 universities, priority states, counties/cities, and key K-12 accounts; staying informed about SHI’s competitive landscape to effectively showcase offerings and defend value propositions; building proactive partnerships with internal SHI support teams and external partners like Google to drive joint selling initiatives; representing SHI at Google and public sector events to establish thought leadership and customer impact; and continuously educating oneself on industry trends, products, and market conditions to maintain a competitive edge.

- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in public sector cloud sales, particularly within education (K-12, Higher Education) and government (SLED) markets; refine advanced sales and negotiation skills through complex, multi-stakeholder deals; gain experience in cross-functional leadership and partner orchestration with global technology leaders like Google; and build a track record of exceeding high-value sales targets while contributing to SHI’s mission of helping organizations solve what’s next through technology.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 8+ years of successful sales experience, with 4–6 years specifically in cloud platform sales, preferably in the Public Sector (SLED, Higher Education, or K-12)
- • Proven success selling or partnering with Google Cloud (GCP), Chrome/Workspace, or other hyperscalers, including experience as a quota-carrying field seller or sales leader with strong forecasting discipline
- • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, executive communication skills to engage C-level and senior public sector leaders, and ability to travel to SHI, partner, and customer events
