  • • In this crucial Public Sector Field sales overlay position, you will be instrumental in building and nurturing trusted, long-term relationships with key government clients. You will serve as the primary point of contact, bridging the gap between customer contract stakeholders and SHI. Your expertise will be vital in collaborating with the Account Executive team to maximize the opportunities presented by our existing contract vehicles with these government entities.
  • • Your core responsibilities will revolve around efficiently managing transactional business, expanding our network of technology partners, and becoming the subject matter expert on the intricate terms and conditions of government contracts. You will be the go-to person for understanding contract nuances and ensuring compliance, thereby fostering seamless client interactions and reinforcing SHI's commitment to excellence.
  • • A significant aspect of this role involves coordinating effectively with our technology partners and SHI's internal departments to ensure we consistently meet and exceed client expectations. This collaborative approach is key to delivering comprehensive IT solutions that address the unique challenges faced by public sector organizations.
  • • Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in providing temporary coverage for accounts during Account Executive transitions or absences, ensuring continuity of service and maintaining strong client relationships. This demonstrates SHI's dedication to client satisfaction and operational resilience.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SHI's extensive business operations and diverse offerings. You will actively participate in the implementation of strategic plans designed to foster account growth and identify emerging opportunities within the public sector landscape. Your proactive approach will be essential in driving revenue and expanding SHI's footprint.
  • • Key responsibilities include driving customer retention and growth by proactively identifying client pain points and architecting end-to-end technology solutions. You will maintain consistent communication with clients to align sales forecasts with supply chain management, ensuring timely delivery and optimal resource allocation.
  • • You will be responsible for hosting regular Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and status meetings, providing clients with comprehensive updates on performance, upcoming initiatives, and strategic alignment. Engaging Account Executives and other internal resources will be crucial to effectively demonstrate SHI's capabilities and address complex customer needs.
  • • A continuous improvement mindset is encouraged, as you will regularly review and refine processes to accelerate technology deployment and enhance client utilization of SHI's solutions. Participation in business unit-specific major initiative campaigns will be expected, contributing to SHI's strategic market penetration efforts.
  • • You will be tasked with preparing and delivering detailed management reports tailored to specific customer requirements, ensuring transparency and accountability. Diligent creation, tracking, and updating of all activities within the CRM system are paramount for maintaining accurate client data and sales pipeline visibility.
  • • Acting as a central liaison, you will facilitate seamless communication between customers, outside sales teams, and internal departments. Providing exceptional customer service and support, including the creation of accurate pricing quotes and proactive management of contract renewals, will be a cornerstone of your role.
  • • The role demands strong time management and organizational skills, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. You will be expected to identify opportunities for process improvement, propose actionable plans, and organize resources effectively. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential for conveying complex information and building rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • • Developing detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) and driving revenue growth through professional services engagements will be a key performance indicator. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is required for efficient workflow and data management. The ability to excel in a team selling environment and manage multiple related projects to align with organizational goals is also critical. Furthermore, you will leverage your expertise in selling IT products and services on a global scale, understanding diverse market dynamics and navigating complex sales processes.
