- • As a Putian-English Phone Interpreter, you will provide real-time interpretation services for limited-English speakers and the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing across critical sectors including healthcare, 911, government, education, and business, directly improving access to essential services and breaking down language and cultural barriers.
- • Day to day, you will handle on-demand interpreting calls, render accurate meaning between Putian and English without omissions or additions, maintain professionalism and cultural sensitivity, remain calm during high-stress or emotional calls (such as emergencies or end-of-life discussions), and adhere to strict industry protocols while working from a quiet, secure home office.

🎯 Requirements
- • Fluency in Putian and English with strong cultural competency and ability to navigate regional accents and dialect differences.
- • Excellent listening, retention, note-taking, and concentration skills to maintain accuracy during complex or technical interpreting sessions.
- • Ability to remain neutral, objective, and professional during sensitive calls involving topics such as end-of-life care, medical procedures, or law enforcement interactions.
- • High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in teaching, translation, interpretation, or language assessment is preferred.
- • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship; must be at least 18 years old.
- • Must have a dedicated quiet workspace, reliable high-speed internet (5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload), and compatible devices (Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS, iPadOS, Android), excluding Kaspersky software and Huawei hardware.
