- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature development, refactoring, and test generation for production-grade software systems.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding challenges and expected outcomes.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and robustness.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with production standards, identifying edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference code, and expected outputs to maintain high-quality evaluation benchmarks for AI training and assessment.
- • Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to understand system architecture and identify areas for improvement or risk.
- • Participate in code reviews and refactoring activities to enhance code quality, maintainability, and scalability of evaluated solutions.
- • Contribute to production migrations by designing and validating transition strategies that minimize risk and ensure system integrity.
- • Work independently on a project-based, part-time basis with full control over schedule and workload timing.
- • Deliver high-quality, production-realistic coding tasks that simulate real-world software engineering challenges for use by a leading AI lab.
- • Generate structured, actionable feedback on peer submissions, focusing on technical accuracy, code clarity, and adherence to best practices.
- • Provide complete and correct reference implementations alongside validation artifacts such as test coverage reports and execution logs.
- • Maintain professional written proficiency in English to produce clear, unambiguous technical documentation and feedback.
- • Operate as an independent contractor using personal tools and equipment; no company-provided hardware or software is supplied.
- • May concurrently provide services to other vendors or employers, provided such arrangements do not conflict with project obligations or confidentiality requirements.
- • Engage in expert evaluation work that directly supports AI model training through realistic, human-curated software engineering scenarios.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
