- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature development, refactoring, and test generation for production-grade software systems.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding challenges and expected outcomes.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and robustness.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with production standards, identifying edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference code implementations, and expected outputs across diverse software environments.
- • Contribute to the evaluation of realistic software engineering scenarios as part of a project-based expert network supporting an AI lab.
- • Work independently on remote, project-based assignments with full control over schedule and workflow.
- • Operate as a consultant, providing services on a per-project basis with no fixed hourly rate—compensation is determined by anticipated task completion time.
- • Use own tools and infrastructure; no company-provided equipment or software is supplied.
- • Collaborate asynchronously with a global team of experts to maintain high-quality standards in AI-driven software engineering evaluations.
- • Participate in code reviews and refactoring efforts on large, complex, multi-file codebases to improve maintainability and performance.
- • Perform production migrations and debugging tasks requiring deep understanding of backend or full-stack systems.
- • Maintain professional written communication in English at an advanced level for all task documentation, feedback, and collaboration.
- • Simultaneously engage with other vendors or employers, provided their terms permit such arrangements.
- • Deliver high-quality, production-realistic coding tasks with complete reference implementations and robust validation artifacts.
- • Provide structured, actionable, and detailed peer review feedback to ensure consistency and educational value across the evaluation pipeline.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
