- • The QA Engineer, AI & Platform Infrastructure role is a hands-on engineering position focused on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of ImmunityBio’s AI platform and web applications through test automation, CI/CD integration, and cross-functional collaboration.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and maintaining automated test frameworks for backend APIs, frontend components, and AI/LLM workflows; building CI/CD-integrated QA pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes; conducting performance and load testing on GPU-enabled applications; validating AI workflows (LangChain, CrewAI, LlamaIndex); developing internal testing tools in TypeScript, Python, or Bun; reproducing and reporting defects; mentoring junior engineers; and leading test planning, documentation, and process improvements.
- • The role sits within ImmunityBio’s engineering organization, working closely with backend, frontend, AI/ML, and DevOps teams to uphold quality standards across a modern tech stack that includes Docker, Kubernetes, Next.js, Svelte, Bun, Python, TypeScript, React, and AI frameworks.
- • The QA Engineer will deepen expertise in AI system testing, test automation at scale, and platform reliability engineering while influencing quality culture, mentoring peers, and contributing to the delivery of safe, performant software in a mission-driven biotech environment focused on cancer and immunotherapy innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- • 3+ years of experience in software QA or test automation
- • Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes)
- • Experience with Python and TypeScript for writing tests and automation scripts
- • Experience with modern web frameworks (React, Next.js, Svelte) and E2E/UI testing tools such as Playwright or Cypress
- • Experience with CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
