- • As a Quality Control Associate (Diamonds) at Nivoda Limited, you will play a pivotal role in upholding the integrity and excellence of our B2B jewelry marketplace. This is a critical, in-office, full-time permanent position based in Amsterdam, where you will be instrumental in ensuring that every diamond, melee parcel, gemstone, and piece of jewelry processed through our Netherlands hub meets Nivoda's stringent quality standards. Your meticulous attention to detail and expertise will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and the overall reputation of our rapidly growing global company.
- • Your primary responsibility will be the timely and accurate quality control (QC) of all incoming products. This includes ensuring that 100% of diamonds, melee parcels, gemstones, and jewelry orders are thoroughly inspected and qualified on the same day they are received. This rapid turnaround is essential for maintaining the efficiency of our marketplace and meeting the demands of our fast-paced industry.
- • You will be actively involved in conducting quality audits, both internally and in collaboration with external partners. These audits are designed to rigorously assess product performance against established benchmarks, identify any deviations from quality standards, and pinpoint areas where processes or products can be enhanced. Your findings will be crucial in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves supplier quality management. You will collaborate closely with our network of suppliers, providing them with feedback on their QC rejections and working proactively to reduce the incidence of such rejections. This collaborative approach aims to elevate the quality of goods entering our marketplace at the source, benefiting both Nivoda and our customers.
- • When quality issues arise, you will be tasked with their thorough investigation and resolution. This involves identifying the root causes of any defects or discrepancies, implementing effective corrective actions to address the immediate problem, and developing strategies to prevent recurrence. Your problem-solving skills will be vital in maintaining the high standards our clients expect.
- • The role demands a proactive approach to process improvement. You will be encouraged to continuously review and refine our QC methodologies, seeking opportunities to increase efficiency, minimize errors, and enhance the overall effectiveness of our quality control operations. Your insights and suggestions for optimizing workflows will be highly valued.
- • There will be a strong emphasis on the quality control and inventory management of melee diamonds and finished jewelry. This specialized focus requires a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the unique characteristics and grading criteria for these product types.
- • Furthermore, you will provide essential assistance with the logistics of shipping orders from our Netherlands hub. This includes preparing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and coordinating with logistics partners to guarantee timely and secure delivery to our customers.
- • This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly under a seasoned gemmologist with over 12 years of experience in diamond grading, providing invaluable mentorship and professional development. You will be part of a collaborative and entrepreneurial work environment, contributing to a company that is actively transforming the traditional diamond industry through innovation and technology.
- • By ensuring the highest quality of diamonds, gemstones, and jewelry, you will directly impact customer trust and satisfaction, solidifying Nivoda's position as the premier global B2B jewelry marketplace. Your dedication to excellence will be a cornerstone of our continued success and expansion.
