📋 Description
- • Maintain the integrity and quality of medical record data by ensuring conformity with all organizational requirements and goals
- • Perform data collection, abstraction, entry, submission, and continuous quality improvement audits to support data accuracy and compliance
- • Assist in planning, establishing, and monitoring criteria for data collection; audit and resolve complex documentation issues across clinical and administrative systems
- • Manage outcome tracking and performance metrics, identifying gaps in data quality and developing actionable improvement plans
- • Conduct routine competency audits of team members and provide direct feedback to their managers, supporting ongoing professional development
- • Collaborate with department staff to determine data needs and design customized tools, reports, and dashboards to support decision-making
- • Utilize analytical and statistical methods to acquire, aggregate, and disseminate accurate and reliable data reports
- • Assist in the design and implementation of quality improvement (QI) projects aligned with Health Information Management (HIM) and Data Integrity objectives
- • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and final performance and audit reports to department leadership and stakeholders
- • Analyze data trends to proactively detect and address anomalies, inconsistencies, or compliance risks before they escalate
- • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with HIM/Data Integrity leadership to align with organizational priorities
- • Serve as primary liaison between the HIM/Data Integrity team and internal stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and alignment
- • Identify, escalate, and resolve conflicts within the project team related to data processes, workflow, or responsibilities
- • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations tailored to departmental and executive audiences
- • Determine frequency and content of status updates from project team members, analyze outcomes, and troubleshoot emerging issues
- • Build and maintain productive business relationships with clinical staff, physicians, administration, and cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity initiatives are supported and adopted
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare-related field or equivalent work experience
- • Minimum five years of recent healthcare data integrity experience, including at least one year in a training capacity
- • Epic Certification, preferably in Epic Identity
- • Extensive technical proficiency with hospital information systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- • Proven ability to conduct data audits, perform statistical analysis, and generate accurate reports
- • Strong interpersonal, interviewing, and persuasive skills to engage clinical and administrative staff
