📋 Description

• The Reconciliation Specialist role at LemFi is a hybrid remote/office position within the Reconciliations team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records by reconciling transactions across general and sub-ledgers, bank accounts, and credit card transactions, directly supporting the company’s mission to build a financial ecosystem for immigrants in the Global South.
• Day to day, the role involves reconciling transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies (such as double charges or incorrect amounts), preparing daily, month-end, and year-end reports, monitoring banking activities for irregularities, assisting auditors with documentation, liaising with Customer Service and Engineering teams on disputes, and working with Product and Engineering to improve processes and support new product development.
• LemFi is a Series B fintech company with over 400 employees across 20+ countries, processing over $1B in monthly transactions to 30+ countries, evolving from fast remittances into a full financial platform offering multi-currency accounts, payments, credit, and long-term growth tools for the global diaspora.
• In this role, you will develop deep expertise in global payment and settlement cycles, strengthen analytical and reporting skills, gain experience in fintech reconciliation at scale, and contribute to process improvements that enhance financial accuracy and compliance, positioning you for advancement in finance, accounting, or fintech operations.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of reconciliation experience
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and reconciliation tools (in-house or third-party)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
