  • • As a Recruiting Coordinator at Clay Labs Inc., you will play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s rapid growth by ensuring a seamless, positive, and efficient candidate experience from initial outreach through onboarding. Your work directly contributes to Clay’s ability to attract and retain top talent in a competitive market, enabling the organization to scale its mission of turning growth ideas into reality through creative, AI-powered solutions.
  • • You will be instrumental in maintaining the high-touch, candidate-centric recruiting process that reflects Clay’s unique culture — where creativity, authenticity, and operational excellence are valued. By managing logistics with precision and empathy, you’ll help uphold the company’s reputation as an employer of choice for innovative thinkers and builders.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include scheduling and coordinating interviews across technical and non-technical roles at all levels, managing complex calendars for recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates, and ensuring timely communication to reduce friction and enhance the candidate journey.
  • • You will partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, prepare interview materials, facilitate feedback collection, and follow up with candidates promptly — acting as the trusted point of contact throughout the interview lifecycle.
  • • You will assist in organizing and participating in recruiting events, career fairs, and virtual networking sessions to expand Clay’s talent pipeline and strengthen its employer brand in the NYC tech community and beyond.
  • • You will support the onboarding process by preparing offer documentation, coordinating equipment shipments, scheduling orientation sessions, and ensuring all pre-start paperwork is completed accurately and on time, setting new hires up for success from day one.
  • • You will contribute to process improvement by identifying bottlenecks in the recruiting workflow, suggesting enhancements to tools and templates, and helping maintain data integrity in the applicant tracking system (Ashby) to support reporting and compliance.
  • • You will help foster Clay’s distinctive culture by embodying its operating principles — such as negative maintenance and non-attached action — in your interactions, bringing curiosity, initiative, and a human-centered approach to every touchpoint.
  • • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in full-cycle recruiting operations within a high-growth, AI-driven startup environment, gaining exposure to cutting-edge talent strategies and building transferable skills in stakeholder management, process optimization, and candidate experience design — positioning you for advancement into senior recruiting, HR operations, or people strategy roles.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 1-2 years of experience in recruiting coordination, talent acquisition support, or a related administrative/HR role, preferably in a fast-paced startup or high-growth technology environment.
  • • Proven ability to manage complex scheduling, prioritize competing demands, and maintain exceptional attention to detail across multiple concurrent recruiting processes.
  • • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of building positive relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders through clear, timely, and empathetic outreach.
  • • Experience using Ashby or another modern applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage candidate pipelines, schedule interviews, and generate recruiting reports.
  • • Located in New York City and available for in-office work 4-5 days per week, with enthusiasm for contributing to Clay’s collaborative, culture-driven workplace.
  • • A proactive, positive mindset with a genuine passion for creating exceptional candidate experiences and supporting organizational growth through people-first practices.
