đź“‹ Description
- • As the Regional Commercial Lead for Sovereign in the Middle East & Africa at ReflectionAI Inc., you will be the primary driver of high-value government and enterprise contracts in a strategically critical region, directly enabling the company’s mission to build open superintelligence and make it accessible to all by securing foundational partnerships with nation-states and sovereign entities.
- • You will own the full deal lifecycle — from initial market development and stakeholder mapping to complex negotiations, deal structuring, and final closure — operating at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and high-stakes government engagement, where your success will shape Reflection’s global expansion and long-term influence in sovereign AI adoption.
- • Day to day, you will identify, qualify, and pursue high-value sovereign opportunities across the MEA region, leveraging deep regional intelligence, geopolitical awareness, and RFP monitoring to build a robust pipeline of strategic accounts aligned with Reflection’s open-weight model offerings for governments, enterprises, and public institutions.
- • You will lead intricate, multi-party negotiations involving legal, technical, policy, and compliance teams, translating complex AI capabilities into clear, executable commercial agreements that satisfy sovereign requirements around data sovereignty, model access, security, and local partnership frameworks.
- • You will cultivate and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with C-suite executives, senior government officials, ministers, and strategic partners, representing Reflection in high-level diplomatic and commercial forums such as AI summits, technology expos, and bilateral government dialogues.
- • You will partner closely with cross-functional teams — including Legal, Product, Policy, Compliance, Finance, and Government Relations — to co-develop deal structures that are not only commercially viable but also legally sound, ethically aligned, and adaptable to evolving regulatory landscapes across diverse MEA jurisdictions.
- • You will continuously monitor and analyze regulatory shifts, competitive movements, and regional economic or security developments, transforming raw intelligence into actionable go-to-market adjustments that prioritize high-potential markets, accounts, and channels for sustainable revenue growth.
- • You will help define and refine Reflection’s sovereign go-to-market strategy, establishing repeatable processes for engagement, benchmarking deal velocity, and advising leadership on resource allocation, pricing models, and partnership frameworks tailored to the unique dynamics of Middle Eastern and African markets.
- • You will operate with significant autonomy and ownership in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment, exercising strong commercial judgment to navigate uncertainty, balance risk and opportunity, and make decisive calls that advance both short-term wins and long-term strategic positioning.
- • You will contribute to building Reflection’s reputation as a trusted, ethical, and technically superior partner in the sovereign AI space, helping to establish the company as a go-to provider for nations seeking open, auditable, and customizable foundational models without vendor lock-in.
- • You will grow professionally by operating at the frontier of AI commercialization, gaining unparalleled experience in structuring deals for transformative technology in high-regulation environments, and developing expertise that few in the world possess — blending enterprise sales, government affairs, and deep tech fluency.
- • You will have the opportunity to leave a lasting impact on Reflection’s trajectory, helping to scale the company from a talent-dense startup into a global leader in open foundational models, while shaping how sovereign entities adopt and govern AI for public good.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Sales, Commercial Diplomacy, Government Sales, or equivalent sovereign-facing roles with a proven focus on the Middle East & Africa region.
- • Demonstrated success in closing complex, high-value government contracts involving multi-stakeholder negotiations, long sales cycles, and regulatory or security compliance requirements.
- • Direct experience engaging and influencing C-suite executives and senior government leadership, including ministers, undersecretaries, and national technology or digital transformation authorities.
- • Ability to thrive in ambiguous, high-stakes environments with minimal supervision, exercising strong commercial judgment to navigate uncertainty, prioritize opportunities, and structure viable deals under pressure.
- • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic or French is strongly preferred given the linguistic and cultural diversity of the MEA region.
- • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MA, MSc) in International Relations, Business, Public Policy, or a related field is highly advantageous.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Top-tier compensation package including competitive base salary and significant equity grants designed to attract and retain elite global talent in alignment with ReflectionAI’s mission-driven, high-impact culture.
- • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits covering medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance for employees and their dependents, ensuring holistic support across physical and mental well-being.
- • Generous family-focused perks including fully paid parental leave for all new parents (birth, adoptive, surrogate), fertility treatment support, and financial assistance for family planning to empower employees through life’s major milestones.
- • Work-life balance initiatives such as flexible paid time off, relocation support for international hires, and daily provision of lunch and dinner to foster connection and reduce daily logistical burdens.
- • Regular team-building opportunities including quarterly off-sites, celebrations, and informal gatherings that strengthen cohesion in a small, talent-dense team committed to shared mission and innovation.
