- • As the Regional Director of Operations & Revenue Development for the Northeast region, you will be instrumental in driving brand equity, operational excellence, and net unit growth for Sonesta International Hotels Corporation, the 8th largest hotel company in the U.S. This pivotal remote role involves providing expert consulting and direct support to a portfolio of assigned hotels, with a sharp focus on enhancing revenue performance, elevating guest satisfaction scores, and ensuring rigorous adherence to brand programs and standards.
- • You will serve as the primary ambassador for the Sonesta brand within your region, cultivating robust and authentic relationships with hotel owners and operators. Your success will be measured by your ability to create tangible brand value for all stakeholders, including hotel owners, operators, management companies, and internal Sonesta leadership across Franchise Operations, Global Sales, and Marketing.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to partner closely with the regional hotel sales teams to drive booked business and generate viable sales leads. This will involve conducting strategic in-market sales calls, participating in marketing events, and providing insightful consultation and education to hotel owners and operators on best practices in sales and operations, directly influencing revenue growth.
- • You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive on-property business performance consultative visits, delving into the operational and financial health of each hotel in your assigned territory. This includes analyzing performance data, developing tailored business improvement recommendations, and delivering these insights through detailed Business Performance 360 consultative reviews.
- • A critical function of this role is to review and update Property Improvement Plans (PIPs), ensuring that hotels are aligned with brand standards and future development goals. You will also be tasked with monitoring and ensuring the timely completion of various action items, including PIPs, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and other time-sensitive obligations, providing support and guidance to hotel teams.
- • You will play an active role in training and development, conducting periodic training sessions on-property, at regional Townhalls, and during Brand Conferences. The curriculum will cover essential brand programs, operational standards, and other assigned educational content, empowering hotel teams with the knowledge and skills to succeed.
- • Your efforts in sales and marketing support will involve conducting thorough market assessments for hotels, identifying untapped sales opportunities, and actively participating in in-market sales calls. This collaborative approach aims to develop and secure both booked business and qualified sales leads, directly contributing to the hotels' top-line revenue.
- • You will collaborate closely with the regional Franchise Services Manager, ensuring seamless communication regarding hotel performance and addressing any escalated support issues. This partnership is crucial for providing a unified and effective support structure to the hotels.
- • A significant part of your role involves advocating for the franchisee's perspective while balancing Sonesta's strategic objectives. This dual focus is essential for continuously improving brand tools, resources, strategies, and program development, ultimately creating an optimal owner and operator experience and driving superior results for the brand.
- • You will be empowered to engage in the resolution of escalated owner and operator feedback concerning brand performance, brand satisfaction, and adherence to license agreement provisions, demonstrating a commitment to resolving issues effectively and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
- • Success in this role will be measured by key performance indicators such as Hotel RevPAR and Revenue Generation Index Growth, Reputation and Quality Assurance Performance, and Owner/Operator Satisfaction & Retention. Your ability to influence and drive these metrics will be paramount.
- • This position requires a dynamic and adaptable individual who can inspire others, communicate effectively across all levels, and maintain meticulous organization while managing multiple priorities across different disciplines and time zones. A passion for hospitality and a results-oriented mindset are essential for success in this challenging and rewarding role.
