  • • As Twilio's next Regional Health and Safety Coordinator for the EMEA region, you will be instrumental in shaping and safeguarding the well-being of our employees and operations across diverse international landscapes. This pivotal role is designed to oversee and enhance health and safety programs, processes, and compliance efforts across all countries where Twilio maintains legal entities within the EMEA territory. You will be a key player in ensuring a secure and healthy working environment, whether in our physical office spaces or for our valued remote workforce.
  • • Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Safety and Security Services, you will be responsible for providing regular, insightful updates, comprehensive reports, and strategic recommendations on all regional Health and Safety (H&S) matters. Your proactive approach will ensure that all regional H&S activities, procedures, and documentation not only meet but exceed Twilio’s global Health & Safety policies and standards, fostering a culture of safety excellence.
  • • A core aspect of your role will involve the development, standardization, and continuous updating of H&S policies tailored to the unique needs of our EMEA locations. You will meticulously ensure adherence to all local, state, and national regulations specific to each country within the region, navigating complex legal frameworks to maintain compliance. As the regional champion for H&S, you will spearhead the implementation and enforcement of Twilio’s global H&S initiatives, acting as the primary Health and Safety Representative for Twilio within the EMEA region.
  • • You will conduct comprehensive, multi-site risk assessments across all regional EMEA Twilio locations. This involves identifying site-specific hazards, evaluating potential risks, and developing robust, actionable mitigation strategies to minimize exposure. Furthermore, you will extend this critical assessment to all regional off-site events, ensuring safety protocols are in place for any company-sponsored gatherings or activities.
  • • Designing and delivering engaging, effective H&S training programs will be a key responsibility, with content specifically tailored to the unique needs and risks of each site. You will also be tasked with organizing regional safety workshops and awareness campaigns to foster a strong safety culture and promote best practices throughout the workforce.
  • • In the event of any incidents, you will coordinate thorough investigations across the EMEA region, ensuring a consistent and effective approach. A critical part of this process is analyzing incident trends, identifying root causes, and sharing these findings with the Global Health and Safety (GHS) Manager to inform preventative measures and continuous improvement efforts.
  • • You will be responsible for scheduling and performing regular H&S audits at each location, meticulously verifying compliance with established standards and regulations. Your role will involve tracking all corrective actions identified during audits and ensuring their timely and effective resolution, thereby maintaining a high level of safety compliance across all EMEA locations.
  • • Developing and rigorously testing regional emergency response plans is paramount. You will coordinate emergency drills and ensure that all sites are fully prepared to respond effectively to any potential emergencies, safeguarding personnel and assets.
  • • The collection, analysis, and reporting of H&S metrics from all sites will be a continuous activity. You will present the EMEA regional H&S performance data to the GHS Manager, providing clear insights into safety performance and areas for focus.
  • • You will actively identify opportunities for process improvements and champion the sharing of best practices across all sites within the region. Leading EMEA regional H&S initiatives and projects will be crucial in driving forward our safety agenda and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • • Overseeing the allocation of essential H&S resources, such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and signage, across the region will be part of your remit. You will also manage regional H&S budgets and procurement processes, working closely with the GHS team to ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on Twilio's safety culture and operational integrity across a dynamic and diverse region. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that Twilio continues to be a safe and responsible place to work for all employees, regardless of their location.
