- • The Regional Human Resource Business Partner serves as a strategic and operational HR partner to leaders and employees across Railserve’s In Plant services operations, driving safety, compliance, employee engagement, and operational excellence across 30 locations.
- • Day to day, the role involves advising regional and site leaders on people strategies, managing employee relations including investigations and performance coaching, supporting talent acquisition and onboarding for hourly and salaried roles, coaching leaders on engagement and attendance, analyzing HR data to identify risks and improvement opportunities, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- • Railserve is a leading provider of industrial railyard services across the U.S. and Canada, part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings backed by Berkshire Hathaway, committed to safety, teamwork, operational excellence, and investing in people through internal promotion and innovative, safety-focused technology.
- • In this role, the individual can develop expertise in strategic HR partnership within high-hazard industrial environments, gain experience in multi-site workforce planning and change management, deepen knowledge of employment law compliance across jurisdictions, and build leadership coaching skills while contributing to organizational effectiveness and safety culture.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations in an industrial, operational, or multi-site environment
- • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
- • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with operations leaders in safety-sensitive environments
- • Willingness to travel regularly to support multiple sites
- • Proficient in HR systems and technology (e.g., ADP, Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
