📋 Description
- • The Regional Medical Officer (RMO) is a strategic clinical leader responsible for overseeing Market Medical Directors and driving value-based care (VBC) transformation across their designated geographic area (‘pod’), ensuring alignment with organizational objectives while optimizing practice performance and outcomes such as decreased costs, improved health, and increased shared savings.
- • The RMO will train, coach, and mentor Market Medical Directors; exercise supervisory responsibility for pod performance; review key performance indicators and clinical utilization metrics; drive continuous performance improvements through data analysis; collaborate cross-functionally with Regional VPs, Practice Transformation Managers, Risk & Quality, and Product & Tech teams; spread best practices across pods; and engage in ACO leadership and Physician Advisory Council meetings.
- • Vytalize Health Inc. is a rapidly growing organization focused on value-based healthcare transformation, operating ACOs and clinical programs designed to improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and increase shared savings through provider engagement and data-driven clinical initiatives.
- • In this role, the individual will develop leadership and strategic influence in value-based care, gain deep exposure to ACO operations and healthcare analytics, shape clinical strategy at a regional level, and contribute to building a market leader in VBC while advancing their impact on population health and clinical innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification preferred in a primary care specialty
- • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within an ACO or similar healthcare organization
- • Active medical license and board certification
- • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- • In-depth understanding of value-based care and knowledge of healthcare cost management and utilization review processes
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
