- • Ameresco, a leading energy solutions provider focused on cost reduction, resilience, and decarbonization to net zero, is seeking a dynamic Regional Safety Manager to oversee multi-state energy efficiency and renewable energy construction projects.
- • This pivotal role will cover the Central region, encompassing all territories west of the Mississippi River up to Colorado, with a preference for candidates residing in or near Texas due to its central location within the project footprint.
- • As a remote position, you will be expected to travel extensively, approximately 50-75% of the time, to project sites across this vast region.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the highest standards of safety, health, and environmental compliance are met across all assigned projects, contributing directly to Ameresco's mission of delivering sustainable and innovative energy solutions.
- • You will be instrumental in the preparation and implementation of Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analyses, tailoring safety protocols to the unique demands of each project.
- • A key aspect of your role will involve ensuring strict adherence to all company Safety Policies and adopted industry standards, acting as the primary guardian of our safety culture.
- • You will develop and execute both long-term strategic initiatives and short-term action plans aimed at the continuous improvement of the safety, health, and environmental compliance program throughout the region's business operations.
- • Ensuring that all personal protective equipment (PPE) meets applicable OSHA requirements and that employees receive comprehensive training on its proper use will be a critical function.
- • You will conduct regular and thorough safety audits of project sites to verify that work is being performed safely and that occupational health is not being compromised, identifying areas for immediate improvement.
- • A significant part of your role will involve managing the incident response process, ensuring all incidents are promptly reported, thoroughly investigated, undergo comprehensive root-cause analysis, and that effective corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
- • You will collaborate closely with project supervision and management teams to develop practical and effective safety solutions for any challenges that arise, fostering a proactive safety mindset.
- • Reviewing subcontractor safety qualifications and actively participating in Pre-Construction Meetings will be essential to ensure that all partners meet Ameresco's stringent safety requirements from the outset.
- • You will play a crucial role in fostering and maintaining a positive and robust safety culture among all project personnel, encouraging open communication and a shared commitment to safety.
- • Maintaining all necessary safety certifications as required by contracts and regulatory bodies will be a continuous requirement of the position.
- • You will lead monthly safety meetings for Project Staff, disseminating important safety information, discussing ongoing concerns, and reinforcing best practices.
