- • As the Regional Sales Manager for Queensland at Alcon Inc., you will be at the forefront of driving our mission to help people see brilliantly. This pivotal role is designed for a dynamic and results-oriented leader who can inspire a sales team, cultivate strong professional relationships, and achieve ambitious sales targets within the vibrant Queensland market. You will be instrumental in shaping the commercial landscape for Alcon's innovative eye care solutions, ensuring our products reach those who need them most.
- • Your primary responsibility will be the rigorous achievement of the sales plan for the entire Queensland region. This involves not only setting clear expectations but also actively coaching and motivating your sales team to exceed their individual and collective goals. You will oversee and manage all commercial arrangements within the region, ensuring that Alcon's business operations are conducted with the highest standards of integrity and efficiency.
- • A significant aspect of your role will be building and maintaining robust, positive professional relationships with all external stakeholders across your territory. This includes collaborating closely with your sales team to support them in nurturing and strengthening relationships with key customers. Your involvement in meeting with these key customers will be crucial in gaining their commitment and increasing the usage of our promoted products. Furthermore, you will act as a key representative of Alcon at trade association meetings and industry events, actively promoting our brand and product portfolio to a wider audience.
- • In terms of Organisational Development, you will be a champion for Alcon's values and desired behaviours, ensuring they are consistently demonstrated and driven across your team. You will be responsible for ensuring that your Regional Sales team has clearly defined, aligned, and SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) objectives established in a timely manner. Furthermore, you will oversee the creation and execution of quality development plans for each team member, utilizing the TMS system, and ensuring these plans are actively actioned.
- • You will conduct regular coaching sessions and one-to-one discussions with your team members, providing constructive feedback, support, and guidance to foster their professional growth and enhance their performance. A critical part of your leadership will be to drive and own the talent selection and hiring process for key roles within your region, ensuring that Alcon attracts and retains top talent.
- • This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales leadership and a deep understanding of the medical device industry, particularly in ophthalmology. You will leverage your logical and systematic approach to achieve the objectives of the role, consistently demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
