Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Serve as a subject matter expert in clinical nutrition to guide the development and validation of AI models focused on dietary and metabolic health data.
- • Review and label diverse clinical data sources—including electronic health records, audio transcripts, video consultations, and nutritional assessments—to identify accurate nutritional concepts, relationships, and clinical reasoning patterns.
- • Conduct structured human-in-the-loop evaluations of AI model outputs across real-world clinical scenarios, assessing accuracy, safety, clinical relevance, and adherence to evidence-based nutrition guidelines.
- • Design, test, and iterate on prompts tailored to nutrition-specific clinical contexts to improve the reliability and precision of AI-generated dietary recommendations.
- • Create high-quality instruction-response pairs and curate edge-case datasets that reflect underrepresented nutritional conditions, such as renal disease, oncology nutrition, pediatric feeding disorders, pregnancy, and lactation.
- • Analyze model failures and document systematic error patterns, proposing actionable strategies to enhance model performance and reduce clinical risk.
- • Develop, refine, and validate scoring rubrics for evaluating AI outputs along dimensions including accuracy, clarity, completeness, safety, and alignment with US clinical dietetics standards.
- • Collaborate with AI researchers and data scientists to improve annotation guidelines, acceptance criteria, and evaluation protocols specific to therapeutic diets and food-drug interactions.
- • Apply expert knowledge of U.S. nutrition classification systems, dietary documentation practices, and clinical workflows to ensure AI systems reflect real-world dietetic practice.
- • Work autonomously and asynchronously using a dedicated AI review platform, managing multiple project tasks with precision and consistency.
- • Contribute to the refinement of clinical nutrition guidelines used to train and validate AI systems, ensuring alignment with current standards from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and other authoritative bodies.
- • Provide nuanced feedback on AI-generated responses related to macronutrient planning, enteral and parenteral nutrition, disease-specific protocols, and population-tailored nutrition advice.
- • Maintain rigorous attention to detail when identifying subtle but critical inaccuracies in AI output, such as misinterpreted dietary restrictions, incorrect calorie estimates, or unsafe food-drug combinations.
- • Participate in periodic team reviews to share insights on model behavior, emerging edge cases, and opportunities for guideline evolution in clinical nutrition AI.
- • Ensure all contributions to AI training and evaluation processes are documented clearly and consistently within the designated review platform.
- • Balance this remote, flexible role alongside existing clinical, academic, or industry responsibilities without requiring scheduled meetings or fixed hours.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential in the United States
- • Strong familiarity with U.S. clinical nutrition workflows, dietary documentation, and nutrition classification systems
- • Demonstrated expertise across therapeutic diets, food-drug interactions, and special population considerations (renal disease, oncology, paediatrics, pregnancy, and lactation)
- • Excellent analytical and clinical summarisation skills with high attention to detail
- • Comfortable working independently and asynchronously in a remote environment
🏖️ Benefits
- • Flexible scheduling compatible with existing clinical commitments
- • Fully remote and async work
- • Competitive compensation, paid on an hourly basis
