  • • As a Remote Account Manager at Agilent Technologies in Vienna, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s mission to deliver trusted scientific insights by supporting the Field Account Management Team in selling cutting-edge analytical instruments and solutions. Your work directly contributes to empowering customers in research, healthcare, and industrial sectors to make data-driven decisions that improve quality of life.
  • • You will identify and develop sales opportunities with both new and existing customers through strategic outbound and inbound activities, driving business growth by uncovering upsell and cross-sell potential across Agilent’s portfolio, which includes Chromatography (LC, LC/MS, GC, GC/MS), Spectroscopy (Atomic and Molecular), Lab Informatics, and Cell Analysis solutions such as microplate readers and imaging systems.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting and coordinating the full sales cycle—from initial prospecting and needs assessment through quoting, order entry, delivery, installation, and post-sale support—ensuring seamless customer experiences and timely resolution of technical or logistical issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • • You will work closely with designated Field Account Managers to manage transactional business for their accounts, including preparing accurate quotes, processing orders, and handling administrative tasks, while acting as a trusted point of contact for customers requiring technical guidance or service coordination.
  • • You will drive tech refresh campaigns in partnership with the field team, proactively identifying opportunities to upgrade customer instrumentation and solutions, thereby strengthening long-term relationships and increasing customer lifetime value through consultative engagement.
  • • You will take ownership of customer issues, resolving them efficiently by liaising with technical support, service, and logistics teams, ensuring minimal downtime and high satisfaction, while maintaining detailed records of interactions and follow-ups in CRM systems.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Laboratory Technician Certificate or a university degree in a science field such as chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related discipline.
  • • Proven hands-on experience with analytical techniques including Chromatography (LC, GC), Mass Spectrometry (MS), Spectroscopy, or Cell Analysis, along with a solid understanding of customer workflows and applications in a laboratory or technical support role.
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German are essential, with English required for internal collaboration and documentation.
  • • Strong desire to learn and continuously develop both technical and soft skills, demonstrated through a self-motivated, proactive approach to work and problem-solving.
  • • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers and internal colleagues.
  • • Commercial or retail experience is considered advantageous but not mandatory.
