- • Shape the future of thoracic imaging at one of America’s fastest-growing outpatient radiology networks. As Remote Division Director of Thoracic Imaging, you will own the strategic vision, clinical excellence, and operational performance for all chest imaging services across SimonMed’s nationwide footprint.
- • Lead a distributed team of subspecialty thoracic radiologists, providing day-to-day clinical oversight, mentorship, and performance management while ensuring every chest CT, X-ray, MRI, PET, and lung-cancer screening study meets the highest standards of accuracy and timeliness.
- • Drive continuous quality improvement by designing, implementing, and monitoring evidence-based protocols, standardized workflows, and key performance indicators (RVU productivity, report turnaround, critical-findings communication, and peer-review scores).
- • Act as the primary clinical liaison between the thoracic division and SimonMed’s executive leadership, translating departmental insights into enterprise-wide strategy for technology adoption, service-line expansion, and market growth.
- • Partner with referring physicians, pulmonologists, oncologists, and hospital systems to optimize imaging appropriateness, protocol selection, and follow-up recommendations—ultimately improving patient outcomes and reducing downstream costs.

- • Monitor regional and national trends in thoracic imaging, presenting data-driven recommendations for new service offerings—such as low-dose CT lung-cancer screening programs, cardiac CT, or quantitative imaging trials—that align with population health needs and payer demands.
- • Balance administrative leadership with active clinical interpretation (target 20–40% clinical effort), maintaining sharp diagnostic skills and serving as a final authority on complex or discrepancy cases.
- • Represent SimonMed at national conferences, peer-review panels, and regulatory committees, elevating the organization’s reputation while staying ahead of evolving guidelines from the Fleischner Society, ACR, and CMS.
- • Champion patient-centered care by ensuring clear, actionable reports, rapid critical-results communication, and compassionate collaboration with technologists, nurses, and front-desk staff who make the patient experience exceptional.
