đź“‹ Description

  • • The Renewal Manager, Enterprise - Americas role at Ashby Inc. is critical to sustaining and growing revenue by ensuring enterprise customers (1,000+ employees) renew their contracts with confidence and clarity. This position directly impacts customer retention, expansion, and long-term revenue strategy by owning end-to-end renewal cycles for Ashby’s largest accounts, acting as a trusted advisor who aligns commercial outcomes with customer success.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading complex enterprise renewal cycles from forecasting to execution, managing negotiations with C-suite stakeholders, procurement, and legal teams; navigating intricate pricing models and multi-product contracts with empathy and precision; collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Finance, and Legal to deliver aligned recommendations; maintaining rigorous accuracy in CRM data, contract documentation, and operational workflows; developing deep product fluency to articulate Ashby’s value proposition credibly during renewal conversations; and proactively building trust with customers by anticipating needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring subscription alignment throughout the lifecycle.
  • • The Contract Management team at Ashby operates as a strategic bridge between Sales and Customer Success, enabling each to focus on their core strengths—Sales on new customer acquisition and Customer Success on post-sale growth—while ensuring renewal conversations are handled with consistency, transparency, and strategic intent. This role sits at the heart of Ashby’s revenue engine, where operational excellence in contracting directly supports the company’s best-in-class retention and expansion metrics.
  • • In this role, you will develop advanced expertise in enterprise contract negotiation, commercial decision-making under complexity, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment—skills that are highly transferable and valuable in senior revenue, operations, or leadership positions. You will also gain deep insight into Ashby’s product ecosystem and go-to-market strategy, positioning you to influence not just renewals but broader customer lifecycle strategies.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience managing enterprise-level contract renewals (typically for organizations with 1,000+ employees), including end-to-end ownership of forecasting, negotiation, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment.
  • • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex pricing structures, multi-product contracts, and legal/commercial terms with clarity, empathy, and confidence while engaging C-suite and procurement stakeholders.
  • • Strong background in sales, customer success, or contract management with a track record of driving renewals, enhancing customer relationships, and contributing to retention and expansion goals.
  • • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to simplify complex concepts, maintain professionalism under pressure, and build trust through transparent, solution-oriented dialogue.
  • • High degree of detail orientation, adaptability, and comfort with remote work, including self-directed time management and accountability in a high-autonomy environment.
  • • Proven skill in cross-functional collaboration, capable of leveraging Sales, Customer Success, Product, Finance, and Legal teams to deliver cohesive customer outcomes while respecting competing priorities and timelines.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive salary and equity package with a 10-year exercise window for stock options, allowing flexibility to exercise when financially comfortable.
  • • Unlimited PTO with a recommended four weeks per year, actively encouraged through regular check-ins to promote work-life balance.
  • • Twelve weeks of fully paid family leave in the US, with plans to expand globally, and comprehensive health insurance premiums fully covered for employees and dependents.
  • • Generous budget for equipment, software, and office furniture to support a productive and comfortable remote work setup.
  • • $100/month education stipend, with additional support for conferences and professional development upon manager approval.
  • • Opportunity to work with a talented, mission-driven team at a fast-growing, well-funded company backed by Y Combinator and serving elite customers like Snowflake, OpenAI, and Shopify.
