- • The Retirement New Business Case Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of new retirement plan business, directly impacting the financial security and peace of mind of millions of individuals and families who rely on Protective Life Corporation for long-term protection solutions. This role is essential to maintaining the integrity of the company’s retirement product offerings and upholding its reputation for reliability and customer-centric service.
- • The person will manage end-to-end case processing for new retirement business, including reviewing applications, verifying eligibility, coordinating with underwriting and operations teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate records in internal systems. They will serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners, resolving discrepancies, tracking case status, and driving timely closure to meet service level agreements.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include: reviewing and validating new retirement plan submissions for completeness and accuracy; communicating with financial advisors, plan sponsors, and internal teams to gather missing information; entering and updating case data in policy administration systems; monitoring case progress and escalating delays when necessary; ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations (including ERISA and IRS guidelines); preparing and distributing case status reports; collaborating with underwriting, legal, and compliance teams to address complex cases; maintaining confidentiality of sensitive customer and plan data; participating in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce turnaround time; and providing training and guidance to junior team members or new hires as needed.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- • Minimum 3 years of experience in retirement plan administration, insurance operations, financial services, or a similar compliance- or process-driven role.
- • Proficiency with policy administration systems (e.g., LifePro, Alchemy, or similar platforms) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data tracking and reporting.
- • Strong understanding of ERISA, IRS regulations, and retirement plan compliance requirements (including 401(k), 403(b), and IRA rules).
- • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple concurrent cases with high accuracy under deadlines.
- • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to collaborate across teams and interact professionally with external partners such as financial advisors and plan sponsors.
