- • As a Risk Control Representative for Equipment Breakdown in the Greater Houston, TX area, you will play a critical role in supporting CNA’s underwriting process by conducting risk assessments for prospective, new, and renewal accounts, helping to identify and mitigate potential equipment-related risks before they result in loss.
- • Day to day, you will perform risk assessments for low to moderate risk assignments, develop risk assessment reports using CNA systems, create customer correspondence to confirm findings and recommendations, assist senior staff on complex tasks, and collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to review account profitability, claims history, and operational issues.
- • You will join a dedicated Risk Control team at CNA Financial Corporation, a leader in commercial insurance known for fostering a culture where employees are valued and empowered to reach their fullest potential through technical growth and meaningful contributions to risk prevention.
- • In this role, you will develop technical expertise in equipment breakdown risk control, strengthen your analytical and communication skills, gain experience working across underwriting and claims functions, and build a foundation for advancement in risk management or insurance engineering careers.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with progress toward professional designations
- • Minimum of one to two years of relevant experience in risk control, insurance, or a technical field
- • National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NBBI) Commission or eligibility and ability to obtain certification
- • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments and shifting priorities
- • Good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external business partners at all levels
- • Ability and willingness to travel extensively for field visits and onsite assessments
