đź“‹ Description

  • • At Havoc AI Inc., we are at the forefront of collaborative autonomy, pioneering solutions that enable self-tasking teams of machines to tackle complex human challenges. We are the recognized leaders in autonomous surface vessels, setting the standard for maritime missions across defense and commercial sectors. To fuel our rapid growth and continue pushing the boundaries of what's possible, we are seeking highly motivated individuals who are passionate about solving difficult problems, innovating relentlessly, and contributing to a mission of preventing conflict and saving lives. If you possess ambition and a drive for excellence, we encourage you to apply.
  • • As a Robotics Engineer specializing in Ground Autonomy, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated autonomy systems for unmanned ground vehicles. These vehicles will operate within challenging, unstructured environments, demanding robust and intelligent navigation capabilities. This position offers a comprehensive scope, encompassing the entire autonomy stack. You will be instrumental in developing and refining control systems, implementing advanced motion planning algorithms, integrating complex perception pipelines, and ensuring seamless mission execution.
  • • Your responsibilities will extend beyond theoretical algorithm development. You will be directly responsible for systems that operate real machines across diverse terrains, navigating the complexities and constraints of real-world operational scenarios. If you are driven by the prospect of enabling intelligent systems to move safely and with confidence through the physical world, and if you thrive on having your work rigorously tested and validated beyond the confines of a laboratory, this role provides an unparalleled opportunity for immediate and significant impact.
  • • You will take end-to-end ownership of ground autonomy systems, ensuring their reliability and readiness for deployment on operational platforms. This includes delivering mission-ready autonomy software that meets stringent performance and safety requirements.
  • • In the realm of control and motion planning, you will design and implement sophisticated control algorithms, including path following, trajectory generation, and accurate vehicle dynamics modeling. You will develop innovative motion planning strategies capable of handling diverse and dynamic terrains, optimizing for stability, precision, and paramount safety.
  • • For perception integration, you will develop and integrate advanced perception pipelines crucial for accurate obstacle detection, detailed terrain analysis, and comprehensive environmental understanding. A key aspect of this role involves fusing data from heterogeneous sensors such as cameras, LiDAR, radar, and IMUs to produce robust and reliable autonomy outputs.
  • • You will contribute to the autonomy architecture by building and extending ROS2-based autonomy stacks. This includes implementing mission planning logic, behavior trees, and real-time navigation capabilities, while maintaining a modular, scalable, and maintainable architecture.
  • • Cross-functional collaboration is essential. You will partner closely with embedded systems engineers, hardware specialists, and mission software teams to drive the integration of autonomy systems from initial prototype stages through to successful field deployment.
  • • Field testing and debugging will be a critical component of your work. You will develop comprehensive monitoring tools and performance metrics for deployed systems, diagnose autonomy failures in real-world environments, and provide crucial support for live testing, demonstrations, and operational deployments.
  • • Engaging with customers and operators is also part of the role, requiring you to translate operational ground mission needs into practical autonomy capabilities and to skillfully balance field constraints with technical feasibility.
  • • This role is ideal for individuals who are energized by the challenge of making intelligent systems navigate complex environments and who seek to contribute to mission-critical applications where reliability and performance are paramount. Your work will directly influence the operational effectiveness of autonomous ground platforms in demanding scenarios, ensuring they can perform their missions safely and efficiently.
