đź“‹ Description
- • Join Sereact GmbH as a highly skilled Robotics Engineer and become an integral part of our mission to build the intelligence that empowers robots to sense, reason, and act in the real world. We are moving beyond the confines of the lab and into the dynamic, everyday industrial settings of warehouses and factories, tackling complex automation gaps that traditional systems simply cannot address. This is your opportunity to be at the forefront of redefining how physical work is accomplished, contributing to the development of next-generation robotic platforms that will shape the future of automation.
- • In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development, implementation, and continuous refinement of innovative solutions for our sophisticated mobile manipulators and advanced automation systems. Your expertise will be crucial in driving progress across key areas of robotics, with a particular emphasis on perception, intelligent planning, and precise execution, all aimed at enabling highly accurate and efficient manipulation tasks in challenging, real-world environments.
- • You will engage in close collaboration with our multidisciplinary teams, working hand-in-hand with hardware engineers, software developers, and research scientists to ensure the seamless and robust integration of both software and hardware components. Your contributions will directly push the boundaries of what robots can achieve, enabling them to operate effectively and autonomously in unpredictable and ever-changing industrial landscapes.
- • Your core responsibilities will encompass the full software development lifecycle. This includes designing, developing, rigorously testing, and ultimately deploying cutting-edge software for our robotic systems. A significant focus will be placed on motion planning, sophisticated perception algorithms, and advanced control strategies that govern robot behavior.
- • You will be instrumental in designing and implementing robust algorithms for path planning, ensuring robots can navigate complex environments safely and efficiently. This includes trajectory optimization to achieve smooth and time-effective movements, as well as sophisticated collision avoidance mechanisms to prevent accidents and damage.
- • Furthermore, you will implement and meticulously test advanced software modules for critical functions such as sensor fusion, enabling the robot to combine data from multiple sensors for a more comprehensive understanding of its surroundings. You will also develop and refine algorithms for precise localization, allowing the robot to know its exact position, and mapping, enabling it to build and update representations of its environment.
- • A key aspect of your role will involve close collaboration with our hardware engineering team. You will work together to ensure the seamless integration of robotic arms, dexterous grippers, and a variety of advanced sensors, translating software capabilities into tangible robotic actions.
- • You will leverage and contribute to our use of industry-standard middleware platforms, particularly ROS 2, to facilitate real-time communication between different robot components and ensure a modular, scalable, and maintainable software architecture.
- • Beyond initial development, a critical part of your role will be the continuous optimization of our robotic systems. You will focus on enhancing system performance to meet the demanding requirements of real-time operation within production environments, ensuring speed, reliability, and efficiency.
- • You will be the go-to expert for troubleshooting complex issues that may arise across both software and hardware systems, diagnosing problems, and implementing effective solutions to ensure the robust and uninterrupted operation of our robots.
- • Your role will also involve staying at the cutting edge of robotics research. You will actively research and implement state-of-the-art methods and techniques, with a particular interest in exploring and integrating machine learning techniques to enhance task execution, adaptability, and overall robotic intelligence.
- • This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a passionate and forward-thinking team, contributing to tangible advancements in a rapidly evolving field. You will be empowered to take ownership of your work and see the direct impact of your contributions in real-world applications.
