- • Lead technical strategy and execution for critical customer design projects at advanced nodes (3nm and below), influencing design methodologies and implementation flows.
- • Partner with sales teams to grow Cadence business by demonstrating Cadence’s leadership in digital implementation solutions.
- • Serve as the primary consultant for advanced-node design synthesis and implementation, including Agentic-AI and signoff processes.
- • Apply deep expertise in synthesis, place & route, clock tree synthesis (CTS), floor planning, timing signoff, design convergence with timing closure, and power optimization.
- • Develop and deploy custom automation solutions using TCL, PERL, and Python to address unique customer design requirements.
- • Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting technical excellence and fostering knowledge sharing across engineering teams.
- • Debug and resolve complex design issues efficiently, ensuring successful tapeouts at 7nm and below nodes.
- • Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to customers to showcase Cadence’s EDA tools and methodologies.
- • Collaborate with internal R&D and product teams to provide customer feedback and influence future tool development.
- • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends in digital implementation, AI-driven EDA, and advanced-node design challenges.
- • Build and sustain strong, long-term relationships with key customer engineering teams and decision-makers.
- • Ensure design flows meet timing, power, and area targets while achieving design convergence on advanced process nodes.
- • Support multiple customer engagements simultaneously, prioritizing based on strategic business impact and technical complexity.
- • Contribute to the development of best practices and documentation for digital implementation flows at cutting-edge nodes.
- • Represent Cadence at industry events and customer technical forums as a subject matter expert in RTL-to-GDSII implementation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering
- • 8+ years of hands-on experience in physical implementation and signoff at 7nm and below with multiple successful tapeouts
- • Demonstrated expertise in digital synthesis, place-and-route, static timing analysis, AI in EDA, and achieving timing and power goals for advanced node designs
- • Proficiency in scripting languages (TCL, PERL, Python) for automation and flow customization
- • Exceptional communication and leadership skills with a track record of building strong customer relationships
- • Strong debugging skills to isolate and resolve critical design issues efficiently
