- • Join Accordion Partners, a leading private equity value creation partner, as a Vice President in our Strategic Finance Practice. This pivotal role is at the forefront of empowering the office of the CFO, leveraging data, technology, and AI to drive significant value for our clients, primarily within the SaaS and software industries.
- • As a Vice President, you will be an integral part of a lean, cross-functional team, collaborating with experts from diverse backgrounds including private equity, investment banking, FP&A, Big 4 accounting, and financial controllership. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and resolve complex financial and operational challenges for our clients. This involves leading engagements that enhance performance visibility, refine planning activities, advance data analytics capabilities, and strengthen business partnering to accelerate value creation. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing cutting-edge tools and processes tailored to the rigorous demands of private equity-backed environments.
- • A significant aspect of your role will involve working with SaaS companies, particularly those undergoing ownership transitions or scaling through acquisitions. You will be tasked with assessing data availability and reliability across critical systems such as CRM, billing, and ERP. A key deliverable will be designing and implementing structured processes to aggregate relevant data, forming the bedrock for comprehensive SaaS reporting. You will collaborate closely with CFOs, PE sponsors, and operating teams to define and verify crucial SaaS business drivers and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), churn, and retention, establishing a single source of truth through robust monthly reporting packages.
- • You will also be responsible for developing reporting cadences and repeatable processes that integrate sound data flows with actionable SaaS KPIs. This will directly support monthly Board and management reporting packages, providing critical insights for strategic decision-making. Furthermore, a vital part of your contribution will be training existing FP&A teams to independently manage and own reporting, ARR analysis, and forecasting tools, ensuring sustainable capability building within client organizations.
- • In engagements with software companies that have grown through acquisitions, you will lead the development of comprehensive planning processes, enhance forecasting tools, and deliver more insightful analytics. This includes conducting deep-dive assessments to pinpoint gaps in existing budgeting and forecasting processes, and leading the execution of a thorough budgeting cycle in close partnership with Finance, FP&A, sales, operations, and senior leadership teams. You will also build sophisticated cash flow forecasts, coordinating with relevant teams to accurately reflect cash dynamics from new bookings, renewals, and other liquidity drivers.
- • A core technical responsibility will be leveraging tools like PowerPivot within Excel to structure and analyze complex datasets, delivering user-friendly reports for CFOs and FP&A teams. You will identify opportunities to transition manual processes into scalable systems and advanced tools such as Business Intelligence (BI) platforms or Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solutions, driving efficiency and long-term value.
- • About the team and company: Accordion Partners is a high-growth, entrepreneurial firm dedicated to being the premier value creation partner for private equity. We are the finance and technology experts that sit at the intersection of sponsors and CFOs, helping clients drive end-to-end value creation. You will join a supportive, collaborative environment with over 1,600 finance and technology experts, working on challenging issues and contributing to building something great.
- • In this role, you will gain unparalleled experience in strategic financial consulting within the dynamic private equity and SaaS/software sectors. You will hone your skills in financial modeling, data analysis, process improvement, and client management, while developing leadership capabilities and contributing to the growth of a market-leading firm. You will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on client success and shape the future of Accordion's Strategic Finance Practice.
