In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of driving Definely’s expansion, acting as a key architect of our growth strategy. Your primary mission will be to identify and cultivate new business opportunities, meticulously researching emerging markets, untapped growth areas, evolving industry trends, potential new customers, strategic partnerships, and innovative product or service enhancements. You will also be instrumental in discovering novel approaches to penetrate existing markets more effectively, ultimately generating and closing new business to significantly boost Definely’s topline performance and solidify our market leadership.
  • • Your responsibilities will encompass the entire lifecycle of new business acquisition. This includes proactively identifying prospective clients, engaging in strategic negotiations, and successfully closing new business opportunities with key decision-makers within target organizations. You will be adept at preparing and delivering compelling pitches that highlight Definely’s unique value proposition, skillfully guiding prospective customers through the sales pipeline, and expertly negotiating and finalizing commercial agreements that foster mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • • A critical aspect of your role will involve meticulous data management. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date information on all prospective customers and key contacts within our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Salesforce. This ensures seamless tracking, efficient follow-up, and insightful analysis of our sales funnel.
  • • You will play a vital role in shaping Definely’s strategic expansion by assisting in the identification and implementation of our entry into new markets and industry verticals. This requires a keen understanding of market dynamics and a proactive approach to uncovering new avenues for growth.
  • • Supporting the broader business development efforts, you will contribute to the creation and refinement of essential business development resources and collateral. This includes crafting persuasive sales materials, presentations, and other supporting documents that empower the sales team and articulate Definely’s value proposition effectively.
  • • Representing Definely at industry events such as trade fairs and conferences is a key component of this role. You will be an ambassador for our brand, engaging with potential clients, partners, and industry influencers, and showcasing the transformative power of our LegalTech solutions.
  • • You will be responsible for screening and qualifying organic leads and traction generated through our robust marketing campaigns and strategic partnership initiatives. Your ability to quickly assess potential and nurture promising leads will be crucial for pipeline development.
  • • A significant part of your contribution will be educating both existing and prospective customers on the unparalleled capabilities of our product and the tangible benefits they will experience through its adoption. You will become an expert in our offerings and a trusted advisor to our clients.
  • • Crucially, you will act as a vital feedback loop, channeling insights gathered from your frontline interactions with customers back to our Product, Customer Success, and Marketing teams. This invaluable information will directly inform our product roadmap, enabling us to continuously innovate and refine our offerings to meet the evolving needs of the legal industry.
  • • While this role is primarily based in London, there may be occasions where domestic and international travel is required to meet with clients, attend events, or participate in strategic meetings, reflecting the global ambition of Definely.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Previous experience in a business development or sales development role, specifically within a B2B SaaS environment, with a strong preference for experience within the legal and/or financial industry.
  • • Demonstrable enthusiasm and a strong drive to be part of a high-growth company, contribute significantly to its success, and proactively share innovative ideas across the business to fuel growth.
  • • Excellent business acumen and sophisticated interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and develop relationships at a senior level and navigate complex sales cycles effectively.
