- • Lead and scale the founding Sales Development Representative (SDR) team at LangChain, a critical function responsible for converting high inbound interest from technical buyers into qualified sales opportunities, directly supporting the company’s mission to make intelligent agents ubiquitous through its widely adopted open-source frameworks and LangSmith platform.
- • Own end-to-end SDR team performance by setting and tracking key metrics including activity levels, conversion rates, pipeline creation, and quota attainment, while recruiting, coaching, and developing top SDR talent to ensure consistent execution and team growth aligned with LangChain’s rapid scaling.
- • Partner closely with sales, marketing, and RevOps leadership to align on target account strategies, territory planning, and pipeline goals, ensuring seamless handoff of qualified opportunities and continuous improvement of the go-to-market motion through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration.
- • Design and implement repeatable inbound and outbound qualification playbooks, leveraging modern GTM tooling such as AI agents, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and power dialers to optimize SDR productivity, effectiveness, and alignment with buyer journey stages in technical and developer-focused markets.
- • Foster a high-performance, coaching-centric culture by conducting regular call reviews, delivering structured feedback, and developing early-career sales talent through mentorship and skill-building initiatives that enhance individual and team capabilities over time.
- • Use data and funnel analytics to continuously iterate on SDR processes, identifying bottlenecks, testing improvements, and optimizing conversion rates across the sales pipeline to increase efficiency and predictability of revenue generation.
- • Contribute to LangChain’s growth as a trusted AI infrastructure provider by enabling developer-facing companies like Replit, Cloudflare, Harvey, and Vanta to adopt LangChain and LangSmith at scale through effective, technical buyer engagement.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in sales development, with a proven track record of generating qualified pipeline and achieving or exceeding performance targets in technical or developer-focused markets.
- • 1–3+ years of experience managing SDRs or leading a sales development team, including responsibilities for coaching, performance management, talent acquisition, and team scaling.
- • Demonstrated comfort working with technical products and developer audiences, including the ability to understand and articulate complex AI/ML concepts to technical buyers and align outreach with developer-centric use cases.
- • Hands-on experience with modern GTM tooling such as AI-powered sales agents, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, power dialers, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and sales engagement tools to drive efficiency and personalization at scale.
- • Strong data-driven mindset, with proven ability to analyze funnel metrics, conversion rates, and activity data to diagnose performance issues, test hypotheses, and implement process improvements.
- • Passion for coaching and developing early-career sales talent, including experience delivering constructive feedback, conducting call reviews, and creating individualized development plans that drive skill growth and retention.
- • Thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where processes are evolving, demonstrating adaptability, initiative, and comfort building systems from the ground up in a high-growth startup setting.
- • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to clearly articulate goals, provide feedback, collaborate cross-functionally, and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic startup environment.
