  • • Join the vanguard of Airwallex's expansion into the lucrative US Mid-Market segment as a foundational Sales Development Representative (SDR). This is a unique opportunity to be part of a newly established Go-To-Market (GTM) team, playing a pivotal role in shaping initial sales processes, refining our platform's client experience, and directly contributing to the growth of a business segment that represents a third of the US GDP.
  • • As a founding member of this dynamic team, you will be instrumental in identifying, engaging, and cultivating relationships with prospective clients. Your primary focus will be on companies with 500 to 2,000 employees, targeting an Annual Contract Value (ACV) of $100k. This segment is critical to the US economy, and your efforts will directly impact Airwallex's strategic penetration and success within it.
  • • You will be empowered with the autonomy and flexibility to develop and refine our sales processes, contributing to a scalable and effective GTM strategy. This involves not just executing existing plans but actively participating in their creation and evolution, ensuring that Airwallex's approach to the mid-market is innovative and impactful.
  • • A key aspect of your role will be to collaborate closely with Account Executives (AEs) to build and execute outbound strategies. This partnership is crucial for creating and nurturing a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities. You will be responsible for initiating conversations, understanding the unique financial challenges faced by mid-market companies, and positioning Airwallex as the premier solution.
  • • Your outreach will target executive stakeholders across various functions within these organizations, including Engineering, Product, and Finance. You will be adept at researching these companies to understand their global financial operations, identifying pain points, and initiating meaningful dialogues that lead to complex product workshops and financial analyses.
  • • This role demands a proactive and strategic approach to lead generation. You will leverage a variety of channels and messaging techniques to attract attention and start relationships with key decision-makers. Your ability to articulate the value proposition of Airwallex's unified payments and financial platform will be paramount.
  • • Beyond lead generation, you will serve as a crucial conduit for market intelligence. By engaging with Product and Engineering teams, you will relay valuable feedback from the front lines, helping to drive product strategy and ensure that Airwallex's offerings continue to meet and exceed the evolving needs of the mid-market segment.
  • • You will be at the forefront of introducing Airwallex's comprehensive suite of solutions, which includes business accounts, global payments, spend management, treasury services, and embedded finance. Your understanding of these offerings and your ability to tailor them to the specific needs of mid-market businesses will be key to your success.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • • Minimum of 12 months of experience in sales, account management, or a related customer-facing role
  • • Experience within a start-up, fintech, or B2B software environment
  • • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and engage with executive stakeholders
