- • Research and identify potential prospects in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry using a combination of AI-powered tools and traditional sourcing methods to understand business context and decision-making structures.
- • Execute targeted outreach campaigns across email, LinkedIn, and phone to engage prospects with personalized, relevant messaging that aligns with their business challenges and goals.
- • Conduct conversational discovery calls to uncover genuine pain points, priorities, budget cycles, and timing related to pursuit workflows and business development needs.
- • Qualify prospects based on defined criteria to determine fit for Joist AI’s pursuit enablement platform, ensuring only high-potential opportunities are passed to Account Executives.
- • Schedule and confirm qualified meetings between prospects and Account Executives, providing detailed context and documented next steps for seamless handoffs.
- • Accurately log all prospect interactions, activity notes, and follow-up actions within HubSpot CRM to maintain a clean, actionable pipeline and enable team visibility.
- • Analyze feedback from conversations and outreach results to refine messaging, targeting strategies, and outreach cadences for improved conversion rates.
- • Continuously learn and integrate new AI tools, sales technologies, and workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce manual tasks, and improve overall performance.
- • Stay informed about industry trends in AEC and construction technology to better understand prospect environments and tailor communications accordingly.
- • Proactively seek out coaching and constructive feedback to improve communication skills, qualification accuracy, and pipeline management.
- • Maintain a self-directed approach to daily priorities, managing multiple outreach streams and follow-ups without constant oversight while meeting performance expectations.
- • Demonstrate resilience and consistency in engaging with new prospects, handling rejection constructively, and maintaining a high volume of quality interactions.
- • Actively contribute to team knowledge by sharing insights on prospect behavior, objection patterns, and effective messaging techniques.
- • Use a data-driven mindset to track personal metrics and align efforts with overall team and company growth goals.
- • Adapt quickly to changes in product positioning, sales messaging, or CRM workflows with minimal training or direction.
- • Ensure all outreach adheres to company tone, compliance standards, and ethical sales practices while maintaining a professional and consultative approach.
🎯 Requirements
- • 1+ year of experience in B2B SaaS sales, sales development, or a comparable customer-facing role
- • Strong conversational skills — ability to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and communicate clearly
- • Comfort using AI tools daily for research, writing, learning, problem-solving, and automation
- • Ability to quickly pick up new tools and processes with minimal guidance
- • Intellectual curiosity and ability to understand new industries, technologies, and business problems
- • Organized and self-directed with strong ability to manage follow-ups and priorities
