  • • The Sales Development Specialist CMTS role at Sartorius AG is critical to driving revenue growth for strategic products in the Japanese market by identifying and nurturing new business opportunities through technical expertise and relationship building. This position directly supports Sartorius’ mission to accelerate life science innovation by enabling faster translation of scientific discoveries into medical advancements.
  • • The person will manage the full sales cycle for assigned strategic products, from lead generation and opportunity development to after-sales support, working closely with Account Managers and Application Specialists to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include initiating and managing sales processes within the territory, leveraging SFDC to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions, and ensuring data accuracy and completeness in the CRM system.
  • • The role involves analyzing SFDC data to uncover customer trends, generate actionable insights, and monitor sales performance against targets for strategic product groups.
  • • Maintaining up-to-date CRM records with detailed customer and opportunity information is essential to support forecasting, pipeline management, and sales steering.
  • • The specialist will develop and execute seeding and specification-in activities to identify new opportunities at customer sites, driving product adoption and long-term market penetration.
  • • Providing technical and commercial support to both Account Managers and customers on product applications, processes, and value propositions is a key function to build trust and influence buying decisions.
  • • Managing short-, mid-, and long-term opportunity funnels and account portfolios ensures alignment with both immediate sales goals and broader market development strategies.
  • • The role requires identifying, implementing, and executing tailored action plans to grow business for strategic products in line with Sartorius’ overall sales and market strategy.
  • • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Application Specialists and Account Management, is vital to manage the opportunity lifecycle effectively from initial contact to post-sale support.
  • • The position demands a proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to navigate complex customer needs using innovative solutions and structured processes.
  • • Success in this role contributes directly to Sartorius’ group-level sales targets for specified products and markets, impacting global healthcare outcomes.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Academic degree in life sciences or engineering (higher education preferred)
  • • Minimum 3 years of field sales experience, preferably in laboratory or process-based life science environments
  • • Hands-on experience and proactive use of SFDC or other CRM systems
  • • Advanced business-level proficiency in Japanese and intermediate-level English communication skills
