  • • Lead the strategic direction and execution of Curriculum Associates' Science sales initiatives, ensuring robust alignment with overarching company growth objectives and market penetration goals.
  • • Spearhead the management and development of the Educational Sales Consultant, Science team, a group of highly skilled professionals with deep expertise in science education, compelling presentation abilities, and proven sales acumen.
  • • Drive the expansion of CA's science market footprint by empowering the sales team to excel in prospecting, sales activities, accurate forecasting, engaging district presentations, impactful conference participation, and successful pilot programs, all aimed at securing core science adoptions.
  • • Foster seamless cross-functional collaboration with internal departments, including Product Development, Marketing, Implementation Services (IST), and Account Management, to ensure the science strategy is not only sound but also flawlessly executed from conception to implementation.
  • • Take ownership of the meticulous upkeep and transparent reporting of territory plans, providing critical insights into sales performance, market trends, and opportunities for growth.
  • • Serve as a primary point of contact for potential and existing customers, adeptly communicating product features, benefits, and the unique value proposition of CA's science solutions.
  • • Cultivate and nurture strong, enduring relationships with key stakeholders, including district leaders, administrators, and influential educators, to exceed ambitious sales targets and foster long-term partnerships.
  • • Engage directly with senior leadership, executives, and major stakeholders to define strategic plans, set objectives, and champion the science division's vision.
  • • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in navigating challenges and embracing ambiguity with a results-oriented mindset.
  • • Act as a trusted advisor and sales expert, possessing a comprehensive understanding of CA's Science products, the evolving challenges faced by K-8 science educators, and the latest pedagogical trends at local, state, and regional levels.
  • • Develop and implement innovative sales territory plans for the Science division, proactively identifying and conceptualizing new business opportunities and crafting compelling proposals that lead to increased market share.
  • • Build and maintain robust relationships with top-tier school districts, conducting thorough needs assessments to develop tailored science solutions that address specific educational requirements.
  • • Deliver persuasive and impactful sales presentations, both virtually and in-person, effectively articulating the value and efficacy of CA's science programs.
  • • Provide expert coaching and guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders on the principles and best practices of high-fidelity science implementations, ensuring successful adoption and sustained impact.
  • • Establish and maintain effective feedback loops with Product Development and Marketing teams, channeling insights from the field to refine product offerings, enhance positioning, and inform future development.
  • • Strategically plan and execute participation in key industry events, conferences, and sponsorships to enhance brand visibility, generate leads, and foster valuable connections within the education community.
  • • Champion CA's thought leadership in science education research and authorship by actively participating in relevant educational forums and discussions.
  • • Collaborate closely with the Learning & Development (L&D) team to ensure that training programs, such as those for Stile, equip participants with the knowledge and confidence to effectively teach science.
  • • Partner with the Marketing team to ensure the development of high-quality, impactful science collateral and to equip Impact Specialists with the necessary resources for effective lead generation in non-customer districts.
  • • Serve as a role model in all interactions and communications, consistently upholding Curriculum Associates' core values of integrity, collaboration, and a commitment to student success.
  • • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of financial planning and reporting for the science solutions portfolio, meeting all financial performance objectives across the nation.
  • • Provide decisive leadership and proactive engagement in addressing and resolving escalated account or program issues, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • • Drive the successful implementation of science adoptions by anticipating and identifying necessary actions across target states and inbound opportunities, ensuring readiness for seamless integration with the Implementation Service Team (IST).
