- • Ooma is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Sales Enablement Specialist to play a pivotal role in driving the success and growth of our sales organization. This position is integral to empowering our sales representatives with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to excel in a competitive market. You will work closely with the Director of Sales Enablement, contributing significantly to the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of comprehensive training programs. Your efforts will directly impact the effectiveness of both new hires and seasoned sales professionals, fostering a culture of ongoing learning and development.
- • A core responsibility of this role is to lead and refine the new-hire sales onboarding experience. This involves creating a structured and engaging program that quickly equips new team members with a deep understanding of Ooma's mission, values, product portfolio, and sales methodologies. You will ensure they gain the confidence and competence to start contributing effectively from day one.
- • Beyond onboarding, you will be instrumental in developing and facilitating ongoing training initiatives. This includes delivering impactful sessions on Ooma's cutting-edge products and services, as well as essential sales skills such as prospecting, negotiation, closing techniques, and effective communication. The goal is to ensure our sales team remains at the forefront of industry best practices and product knowledge.
- • You will employ a diverse range of instructional techniques and leverage adult learning principles to design and deliver learning experiences that are not only informative but also highly engaging and memorable. This approach ensures maximum knowledge retention and practical application of learned skills.
- • A key aspect of the role involves close collaboration with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) across various departments. You will partner with these experts to identify critical knowledge gaps and collaboratively develop relevant, high-impact training content. This ensures that all enablement materials are accurate, relevant, and aligned with Ooma's strategic objectives.
- • A significant part of your role will be training sales team members on the effective utilization of our internal systems and tools. This includes comprehensive training on Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms like Salesforce (SFDC), quoting and CPQ tools such as Dealhub, and other essential sales productivity applications like Unifyr. The focus will be on practical, sales-driven use cases that enhance efficiency and drive revenue.
- • To ensure the effectiveness of training programs, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a variety of assessment tools. This includes developing quizzes, practice activities, role-playing scenarios, and knowledge checks designed to measure understanding, reinforce key concepts, and track learning progress.
- • You will manage and maintain the content repository within the Ooma Sales Enablement Platform. This involves organizing, updating, and ensuring the accessibility of all enablement materials, including product guides, sales playbooks, competitive intelligence, and training resources. Keeping this platform current and user-friendly is crucial for sales team success.
- • This role requires providing continuous support for all sales enablement initiatives. You will be a go-to resource for the sales team, addressing questions, providing coaching, and adapting enablement strategies to meet evolving business needs and market dynamics.
- • You will also contribute to additional projects and ad hoc requests as they arise, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the broader sales operations and enablement team. This might include market research, content creation for sales collateral, or assisting with sales kickoff events.
- • Ultimately, this position is about empowering Ooma's sales force to achieve their full potential. By providing structured learning, relevant resources, and ongoing support, you will directly contribute to increased sales productivity, improved customer engagement, and the overall success of the Ooma sales team. Your work will be vital in ensuring our sales professionals are well-equipped to articulate Ooma's value proposition and drive revenue growth in the dynamic telecommunications and technology sectors.
