  • • The Sales Engineer (SE) is a technical sales support position responsible for arranging pre-sales engagement to current and prospective clients, acting as a trusted advisor to drive revenue and influence customer outcomes.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include formulating territory plans and account strategies, anticipating technology trends, engaging senior IT leadership without an account executive present, building technical account plans, distilling pre-sales discovery into concise business and technical messages, demonstrating Commvault solutions via presentations and proof-of-concepts, participating in sales meetings and QBRs, supporting channel partners, maintaining technical expertise through training and certifications, and documenting key issues in Salesforce.com.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years in the software or storage industry with 3+ years of proven experience in a pre-sales sales engineer role
  • • Proven strong experience selling, conducting Proof of Concept, and architecting data management solutions (backup and recovery, data migration, replication, compliance, SRM, etc.)
  • • Solid knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as storage, servers, networking, cloud, and hyper-convergence
  • • BS or MS degree in Computer Science/engineering or related field with proven technical experience in the IT industry
  • • Ability to work remotely and autonomously with willingness to travel up to 50%
  • • Experience with sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, TAS, SPIN, Solution Selling, or Challenger
