- • Join Scality, a recognized Gartner leader in data storage solutions, and become a pivotal technical expert within our US-based sales team. As a Sales Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving bookings and revenue growth by serving as the primary technical advisor and product evangelist for our innovative S3 object storage solutions.
- • You will partner closely with Account Executives to identify, qualify, and ultimately close complex sales opportunities, ensuring our prospects and customers fully understand the value and technical capabilities of Scality's offerings.
- • Your role will involve deep engagement with potential clients, understanding their unique data storage challenges related to growth, security, performance, and cost, and architecting solutions that leverage Scality's patented MultiScale Architecture and CORE5 cyber resilience.
- • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations tailored to diverse audiences, from C-level executives to IT managers and engineers, effectively communicating the benefits of our end-to-end cyber resilient storage.
- • Perform in-depth technical discovery sessions to uncover customer pain points, technical requirements, and business objectives, translating these insights into robust and customized Scality solutions.
- • Design and present complex technical architectures and proof-of-concept (POC) plans, ensuring successful validation of Scality's capabilities within customer environments.
- • Respond to and manage technical aspects of RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and RFIs (Requests for Information), providing accurate and persuasive technical content.
- • Act as a trusted advisor to prospects, customers, and partners, building strong relationships based on technical expertise, credibility, and a deep understanding of their business needs.
- • Collaborate with the product management and engineering teams to provide feedback from the field, influencing future product development and roadmap decisions.
- • Contribute to the global Sales Engineering community by sharing best practices, developing reusable collateral, and mentoring junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and success.
- • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in storage, cloud, AI, and cybersecurity to maintain a leading edge in technical knowledge.
- • Support the entire sales cycle, from initial qualification and technical validation through to post-sales support and customer success, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
- • Articulate the unique advantages of Scality's S3 object storage, emphasizing its limitless, independent scalability, robust security features, high performance for demanding workloads like AI initiatives, and cost-effectiveness.
- • Educate customers and partners on the principles of cyber resilience and how Scality's CORE5 technology safeguards data at every level, from API to architecture.
- • Develop and deliver technical training sessions for internal sales teams, partners, and customers to enhance their understanding and proficiency with Scality products.
- • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during the sales process or POC phases, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- • Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders within customer organizations, becoming their go-to resource for Scality-related inquiries.
- • Analyze customer environments and provide expert recommendations on how Scality solutions can best integrate with existing infrastructure and workflows.
- • Showcase Scality's sustainability benefits, highlighting how our solutions contribute to energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
- • Prepare and deliver technical proposals that clearly outline the proposed solution, implementation plan, and expected outcomes.
- • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent Scality and engage with potential customers and partners.
- • Continuously refine technical presentation and demonstration skills to ensure maximum impact and clarity.
- • Understand and articulate the value proposition of Scality's solutions for accelerating high-performance AI initiatives and optimizing cloud deployments.
- • Foster a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential technical challenges before they impact the sales cycle.

🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar technical pre-sales role, with a strong understanding of enterprise storage solutions, particularly object storage (S3).
- • Deep technical knowledge of storage technologies, data center infrastructure, networking, and cloud environments (public, private, hybrid).
- • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- • Demonstrated ability to understand customer business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- • Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
