- • The Sales Engineer serves as the centralised global authority for enterprise RFPs and formal buying processes, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across regions while acting as the single point of control for reviewing and approving responses to maintain high standards with minimal resource investment.
- • This role functions as a knowledge hub by capturing lessons learned and successful patterns from global deals and distributing them to new or growing regions, while also acting as the primary liaison between sales and product strategy to channel enterprise-level requirements and feedback from RFPs into product direction.
- • The Sales Engineer oversees AI-driven and automated collateral generation, responsible for both creating and validating materials to ensure accuracy, alignment, and quality before use, combining governance, enablement, and strategic alignment to streamline enterprise and high-value sales efforts globally.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include being solely responsible for RFP processes as the single point of control on quality and execution of formal buying processes, distributing global lessons learned and patterns to new regions, serving as the single point of contact with product strategy on enterprise items from RFPs, and ensuring all AI and collateral automation is ingested and reviewed for generating and vetting collateral.
- • The role requires managing a multi-region remit necessitating availability across European, American, and Oceanic timezones, balancing consistent delivery across all responsibilities during peak busy periods in procurement processes, and managing internal stakeholder expectations of GTM and Product personnel.
- • Ideal candidates are self-starters who thrive wearing multiple hats and can navigate varying workloads, possess Go-to-Market experience with a lens into product development, and have formal corporate purchasing or RFP experience.
- • The role is not suited for those expecting repetitive daily work or a perfectly paved path, as it demands adaptability and initiative in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- • Sitemate builds best-in-class software for the built world, empowering construction, infrastructure, and industrial companies through its flagship product Dashpivot, which digitises workflows from paper and spreadsheets into mobile-friendly systems that automate tasks, track progress in real time, and improve decision-making.
- • Backed by Blackbird, Australia and New Zealand’s #1 venture capital firm, and a graduate of the Startmate Accelerator, Sitemate has grown from 5 people in 2018 to over 150 across 18+ countries, blending deep industry experience with cutting-edge product design to modernise one of the world’s largest and most essential industries.
- • Life at Sitemate is defined by transparency, high velocity, hustle, diversity, and innovation as lived principles, not buzzwords, with open communication, trust, autonomy, access to key metrics, clear career development plans, and growth based on performance rather than tenure.
- • The company values diverse teams, with members from 18+ countries, 55% identifying as from underrepresented ethnic backgrounds, 43% identifying as female, and an age span of 22–51, believing diversity builds better products.
- • How We Work includes monthly All-Hands meetings sharing metrics, customer stories, hiring plans, and financial performance, plus a “Life Story” session to build genuine connection; high velocity via integrated systems eliminating manual work; hustle rewarded through performance-driven pay increases; autonomy focused on outcomes, not hours, with flexible scheduling and no time monitoring; and collaboration across engineering, product, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams.
