📋 Description
- • The Sales Engineer at Commvault Systems, Inc. is a technical sales support role responsible for driving pre-sales engagement with current and prospective clients, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and influencing customer decisions to drive revenue while serving as a trusted advisor across all levels of an account.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with account teams to develop territory and account strategies, engaging with senior IT leadership to qualify technical and business needs, creating and delivering product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts, coordinating technical resources across internal departments, maintaining technical account plans, and providing enablement support to channel and alliance partners.

- • In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in enterprise data management solutions, refine consultative selling and technical presentation skills, gain exposure to Fortune 500–1000 account strategies, and grow as a technical leader influencing both customer outcomes and internal product development through feedback and innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years in the software or storage industry with 3+ years of proven experience in a pre-sales sales engineer role
- • Demonstrated experience delivering, presenting, selling, and supporting enterprise or commercial clients, including proven success in architecting data management solutions (backup, recovery, migration, replication, compliance, SRM)
- • Solid knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as storage, servers, networking, cloud, and hyper-convergence, plus specialized proficiency with at least one major open systems OS, hypervisor, or cloud platform
- • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; experience with Salesforce.com, sales methodologies (MEDDIC, TAS, SPIN, etc.), and ability to travel up to 50%
