Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the entire technical sales cycle for enterprise prospects across the DMV region, translating Torq’s agentic AI security platform into clear business value for CISOs, SOC leaders, and security architects.
- • Become the trusted technical advisor who can whiteboard complex SOAR replacement strategies, map out phased migration plans, and demonstrate how Torq slashes MTTR from hours to minutes while cutting operational costs by 60%+.
- • Deliver jaw-dropping product demos that weave in our brand’s signature flair—think skeleton mascots, laser shows, and the occasional monster-truck metaphor—while still diving deep into JSON parsing, custom workflow logic, and API integrations.
- • Partner closely with Account Executives to craft account strategies, run discovery workshops, and build bespoke ROI models that prove Torq’s impact on analyst burnout, alert fatigue, and breach containment.
- • Architect and present production-grade proof-of-value deployments in AWS, Azure, or GCP, standing up multi-tenant environments, configuring SSO/SAML, and integrating 50+ security tools in under two weeks.
- • Translate customer feedback into crisp product requirements, feeding the roadmap with real-world use cases like automated phishing triage, cloud-permission right-sizing, and AI-driven threat-hunting playbooks.
- • Mentor junior SEs and channel partners, creating repeatable demo scripts, battle cards, and Terraform blueprints that scale our technical win rate across the 200-person (and growing) go-to-market org.
- • Travel 25–40% throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia to run on-site workshops, purple-team exercises, and executive briefings at Fortune 500 security operations centers.
- • Track every interaction in Salesforce, building mutual success plans that keep prospects, sales, product, and customer success aligned from first call to champagne-popping go-live.
- • Evangelize Torq at local ISSA chapters, BSides events, and federal cyber meetups, turning our monster-truck energy into a pipeline of enthusiastic practitioners who can’t wait to rip and replace legacy SOAR.
- • Champion our culture of radical transparency and customer obsession—celebrate wins loudly in Slack, run blameless retros when deals stall, and ship weekly “demo glow-ups” that keep the entire company learning.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years in a sales engineering, solutions consulting, or security architecture role selling complex cybersecurity platforms to enterprise or federal customers.
- • Hands-on experience with SOAR, SIEM, EDR, or cloud-security stacks; you can read Python or JavaScript automation scripts without flinching.
- • Proven track record of closing $500K+ ARR deals by running technical proofs, ROI analyses, and security architecture workshops.
- • Comfort presenting to C-level executives and federal security officers; you can pivot from a NIST 800-53 control mapping to a cost-per-alert savings model in the same breath.
- • Nice-to-have: active security clearance (Secret or higher) and familiarity with FedRAMP, FISMA, or DoD CC SRG requirements.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Remote-first culture with quarterly “monster-truck” off-sites in top-tier destinations—past trips included Austin, Lisbon, and Whistler.
- • Equity in a Forbes-ranked startup that just tripled revenue and is still early in its 70M Series C journey.
- • $2,000 annual professional-development stipend plus paid certification days for CISSP, SABSA, or cloud-security specialties.
- • Platinum medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and dependents, plus a $500 monthly wellness stipend that covers gym memberships, therapy apps, or your own home-gym setup.
