  • • As a Sales Engineer at Dataminr, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert, bridging the gap between complex AI-powered solutions and customer needs across EMEA, with a focus on public sector clients in Germany and beyond. Your role is critical in translating Dataminr’s real-time event detection technology into tangible business value, enabling organizations to detect, respond to, and mitigate emerging risks before they escalate.
  • • You will conduct in-depth technical demonstrations showcasing how Dataminr’s platform leverages public data from text, image, video, audio, and sensor sources in over 150 languages to enhance detection, response, and mitigation efforts for clients in government, defense, critical infrastructure, and enterprise sectors.
  • • Collaborate directly with customers to assess their real-time information needs, design tailored solutions within the Dataminr platform, and lead proof-of-concept engagements that validate success criteria and drive adoption through measurable outcomes.
  • • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders including CISOs, emergency operations leads, and IT decision-makers, ensuring they recognize the strategic value of Dataminr’s alerting capabilities and integration potential with their existing workflows.
  • • Partner with technology allies and systems integrators to validate and promote the integration of Dataminr alerts into third-party platforms such as Esri ArcGIS, SIEM, SOAR, and TIP systems, enabling seamless data flow and actionable intelligence within customer environments.
  • • Deliver training and enablement sessions for both internal sales teams and external clients, covering best practices, operational workflows, and advanced use cases to maximize platform utilization and drive customer success.
  • • Act as a vital conduit between field insights and product development by gathering customer feedback, identifying feature gaps, and contributing to the evolution of Dataminr’s AI capabilities—including ReGenAI, Agentic AI, and multimodal fusion—to ensure the product remains at the forefront of real-time intelligence innovation.
  • • Operate with a high degree of autonomy in a remote-first environment based in Germany, with up to 40% travel required to engage clients and partners across EMEA, while maintaining rigorous security standards including eligibility for NATO Secret clearance.

  • • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise AI sales engineering, gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge generative and agentic AI applications in security and public safety, and develop advanced skills in solution architecture, stakeholder management, and cross-functional influence—positioning you as a leader in the emerging field of AI-powered risk intelligence.

🎯 Requirements

  • • German native-speaking or fluent working proficiency is required; additional proficiency in French or Spanish is desired but not mandatory.
  • • 3–7+ years of hands-on technical experience in roles such as Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or Software Sales Architect, preferably with public sector or government clients.
  • • Proven experience in data integration, pre-sales strategy, and deploying technical solutions that interface with third-party platforms including SIEM, SOAR, TIP, and GIS systems like Esri ArcGIS.
  • • Ability to obtain and maintain NATO Secret clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position due to the nature of client engagements and data sensitivity.
