📋 Description
- • As the Sales Manager for AWS Solutions, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing Mission Cloud's growth strategy within the Amazon Web Services ecosystem. This leadership role is designed for an individual with a proven track record in technology sales and a deep understanding of cloud solutions, who can inspire and guide a team of dedicated Account Executives and Client Executives.
- • You will be responsible for overseeing a significant regional portfolio, driving strategic expansion across AWS cloud solutions, professional services, and managed services. Your primary objective will be to achieve and exceed ambitious revenue targets by developing and implementing effective go-to-market strategies tailored to specific market segments.
- • A key aspect of this role involves fostering and maintaining robust alignment with AWS leadership and partner teams. This collaboration is crucial for identifying unique challenges and untapped growth opportunities within your assigned segments, allowing you to develop and execute targeted action plans that capitalize on these insights.
- • You will operationalize annual strategies and initiatives, ensuring they are effectively translated into actionable plans for your team. This includes providing critical recommendations for sales budget allocation and resource deployment to maximize impact and efficiency.
- • A significant part of your day-to-day will involve leading and providing daily oversight to your assigned Account Executives and Client Executives. You will be their coach, mentor, and advocate, ensuring they have the support and guidance needed to achieve their monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
- • This leadership extends to rigorous pipeline management and performance monitoring. You will conduct weekly pipeline and activity metric reviews with your direct reports, ensuring a proactive approach to sales execution. Furthermore, you will manage monthly and quarterly sales projections, focusing on forecasting accuracy and providing clear, concise reports on pipeline status, closed deals, and overall team performance.
- • You will be expected to support complex sales cycles, including intricate AWS co-sell engagements. This may involve assisting with contract negotiation, redlining, and developing winning deal strategies. You will also attend to necessary order management tasks and provide support for escalated post-sales activities, ensuring a seamless customer experience from sale to delivery.
- • Cultivating a high-performance, team-oriented sales environment is paramount. You will foster a culture that rewards success, encourages continuous improvement, and promotes collaboration. Effective communication, both upwards, downwards, and across the organization, will be essential for success.
- • Developing sophisticated account strategies that drive profitable growth across AWS cloud, professional, and managed services will be a core responsibility. You will collaborate closely with your Account Executives to build comprehensive account development and penetration plans, identifying new business opportunities and optimizing expansion within existing client relationships.
- • You will provide consultative, solution-based selling leadership, guiding your team through complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles. This includes participating in and leading customer-facing meetings, executive business reviews, and strategic planning sessions, positioning Mission Cloud as a trusted advisor.
- • Travel will be a necessary component of this role, up to 40%, to engage with customers, participate in AWS engagements, attend industry events, and connect with internal teams. This travel is essential for building strong relationships and understanding customer needs firsthand.
- • Cross-functional collaboration is key to success. You will work closely with leadership across Sales, Marketing, and Service Delivery to facilitate successful deal closures and drive process improvements that enhance sales effectiveness and customer outcomes. You will also manage resources for customers, including technology specialists, AWS Solutions Architects, and vendor partners, ensuring a unified approach to client engagement.
- • Talent management is a critical focus. You will be responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and retaining a diverse, high-performing sales team. This includes actively recruiting for open positions, successfully onboarding new hires, and conducting regular one-on-one meetings focused on performance, career development, and growth.
- • You will coordinate ongoing AWS product knowledge and sales skills training for your team, ensuring they remain at the forefront of cloud technology and sales methodologies. Furthermore, you will actively pursue continuous personal leadership development, embodying the principles of the CDW Way and upholding company policies and procedures.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 7 years of experience in technology-related sales or business development, with a proven track record of success.
- • At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience, directly managing a sales team with individual contributors.
- • Demonstrated success in sales, with a strong preference for experience within cloud computing, specifically AWS, professional services, or managed services.
- • Proven experience in consultative, solution-based selling, with the ability to understand and address complex customer needs.
- • Experience managing complex, enterprise-level sales cycles, including contract negotiation and redlining.
- • Working knowledge of AWS services, cloud migration strategies, and managed services delivery models.
