Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • As Sales Manager for Germany, you will lead and scale the country’s go-to-market strategy by building and managing a high-performing team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) and Account Executives (AEs), directly driving revenue growth in one of Wayflyer’s key European markets.
  • • You will own the full sales funnel for Germany — from lead generation and qualification to deal closure — ensuring seamless handoff between BDR and AE teams, optimizing conversion rates, and consistently hitting or exceeding country-level revenue targets through data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
  • • You will join Wayflyer’s sales leadership team in Berlin, collaborating with ambitious, cross-functional colleagues across Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Enablement to align local market insights with global strategy while representing the voice of the German market at the executive level.
  • • You will hire, develop, and coach BDRs and AEs to master Wayflyer’s value proposition, adapt to German buyer behavior and business culture, and exceed individual and team targets through motivational leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • • You will define and execute short- and medium-term Germany-specific sales strategies, partner with Enablement to deliver tailored training, and work with sales operations to streamline processes, improve pipeline quality, and scale the team sustainably in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • • You will act as a strategic leader who uses analytical thinking and proven methodologies like MEDDICC or Solution Selling to diagnose challenges, coach reps effectively, and foster a culture of ambition, integrity, and bold optimism that aligns with Wayflyer’s core values.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Fluency in both English and German, with strong communication skills to engage German-speaking clients and lead local teams effectively.
  • • 1–3 years of proven experience leading outbound sales teams, with a track record of exceeding targets as both an individual contributor and a manager.
  • • Demonstrated success in coaching and developing ramping sales representatives, helping them build confidence, improve performance, and hit their stride in fast-paced environments.
  • • Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment, thriving amid ambiguity, rapid change, and high growth.
  • • Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, engage, and retain top talent through authentic leadership and people-first management.
  • • Analytical mindset: uses data, not guesswork, to make autonomous decisions, optimize sales processes, and improve funnel performance.
  • • Familiarity with Solution Selling and/or MEDDICC methodologies, applying structured approaches to complex sales cycles and stakeholder engagement.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • 25 days of paid annual leave per year, plus public holidays, to support rest, recovery, and work-life balance.
  • • Access to private healthcare, life insurance, and critical illness coverage through Wayflyer’s comprehensive health and protection package.
  • • Participation in the company pension plan, helping you build long-term financial security starting from day one.
  • • Generous parental and adoptive leave policies for both primary and secondary caregivers, supporting family-first values.
  • • Equity participation via Wayflyer’s share scheme, allowing you to be a stakeholder in the company’s growth and success.
  • • Flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the world for up to 60 calendar days per year, enabling work-from-abroad opportunities.
